To ensure the best performance for your event, our basic needs:
- Performance Space: A flat, level area of approximately 10' x 8'.
- A well tuned and in good playing condition, one of the following: acoustic grand piano. If not available, an Upright piano.
A quality stage piano might be used.
- Power: At least one dedicated 15-amp circuit with a grounded outlet located within 15 feet of the performance area.
- A jazz Drumset
- Sound: for audiences up to 100 people acoustic trio should work. For larger venues or festivals, a house sound system/PA is needed.
- Setup Time: We require access to the performance space 1 to 2 hours prior to the start time for load-in and soundcheck.
- Outdoor Events: For the safety of our instruments, the performance area must be fully shaded and protected from direct precipitation.
- Hospitality: Catering, snacks, bottled water, are greatly appreciated.

Yes, we’re happy to play music from Spotify before, after and between our sets. We’re happy to choose the music ourselves or let the client choose the music.

We are deeply rooted in the foundational sounds of the Bill Evans Trio, Keith Jarrett Trip, Oscar Peterson, Ahmad Jamal, Herbie Hancock, Brad Mehldau, Fred Hersch, Kenny Barron, etc.
We normally arrive 1-2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 1-2-3 x 45 minutes or 1-2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area.
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
