Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

Technical requirements depend on the chosen line-up and the size of the venue.
As a general guideline, we require a professional PA system suitable for the venue and audience size, with a sound engineer.
Vocals require a microphone and stand. Piano/keyboard requires appropriate power access. Guitar and double bass can generally be connected via DI. Drums may require overhead and/or additional microphones depending on the venue and size of the event. For larger line-ups, appropriate microphones are required for the horn section.
A detailed technical rider can be provided according to the chosen line-up and event.

What information do you require about a venue?

We need to know the location of the venue, the performance area and available stage space, whether the event is indoors or outdoors, the expected number of guests, and what sound equipment and technical support are available on site.
Please also let us know about load-in access, soundcheck times, any sound restrictions or curfews, and whether there is a secure dressing room or changing area for the performers.
For events requiring air or long-distance travel, we will also need to know what backline is available locally or can be hired at the destination.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

For events in Paris and the surrounding area, we may be able to provide or transport some of our own equipment depending on the line-up and requirements.
For events involving long-distance or air travel, professional sound equipment, lighting where required, and a sound engineer should normally be provided by the client or venue.
We travel with our instruments where practical, but larger instruments and backline, such as drums and double bass, may need to be hired locally depending on the destination and travel arrangements.
All technical requirements can be discussed in advance and adapted to the chosen line-up.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes. We can provide a carefully selected playlist before the performance and between sets, tailored to the atmosphere and style of the event.
For clients looking for a complete evening of entertainment, a professional DJ can also be added to the booking upon request.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

Salle Wagram, Paris
Le Trianon, Paris
Eiffel Tower, Paris
Ritz, Paris
Maxim's, Paris
Hôtel particulier de La Païva, Paris
Crazy Horse, Paris

What's your favourite type of event?

My favourite events are those where we can create a complete artistic experience rather than simply perform a set. I particularly love vintage and retro-themed events where live music can be combined with dancers, performers, a DJ and other forms of entertainment to tell a story and immerse guests in another era.

I also enjoy coordinating different artists and helping to shape the overall entertainment concept. The perfect event for me combines authenticity, elegance, creativity and great energy and, of course, gets people dancing!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I started performing professionally in 2007 in Barcelona, Spain, as part of a vocal trio specialising in jazz and swing from the 1930s and 1940s.

Since then, I have developed my own career as Ô de mon Chéri, performing internationally and building different musical line-ups ranging from solo performances to a full seven-piece band with a three-piece horn section.

Over nearly 20 years, I have performed in 22 countries for private events, weddings, luxury hotels, corporate events, clubs and prestigious venues. I also regularly collaborate with dancers and other entertainers to create larger-scale artistic productions.

Alongside my work as a vocalist, bandleader and producer, I work as a professional MC and host for international corporate events and cabaret-style shows in French, English and Spanish.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

My influences come from the great figures of vocal and instrumental jazz, particularly the artists of the swing and big-band eras.

Vocalists such as Anita O’Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Sarah Vaughan have all influenced my approach to jazz, alongside the extraordinary instrumentalists and bandleaders who shaped the genre. My French repertoire is also inspired by iconic performers such as Édith Piaf, Joséphine Baker and Charles Aznavour.

If I had to choose one artist particularly close to my musical identity, it would be Anita O’Day – I even dedicated my latest album to her repertoire.

And the greatest song of all time? “Take Five” by the Dave Brubeck Quartet. Timeless.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

Setup and soundcheck times depend on the chosen line-up, venue and technical setup. We generally allow between 1 and 2 hours before the performance for setup and soundcheck, with additional time if required for larger productions.

Our most common performance format is 2 x 45-minute sets, but we are very flexible. Depending on the event, we can perform one continuous set, several shorter sets throughout an evening, or create a bespoke performance schedule to fit the event programme.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Absolutely. We are very happy to perform outdoors, provided that suitable conditions are in place for the performers and instruments.

The performance area should be flat, stable and protected from rain, direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, with safe access to electricity where required. For outdoor events, appropriate weather protection must be available in case conditions change.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

Absolutely. Clients are welcome to select their favourite songs from our repertoire, or they can leave the musical direction entirely to us based on the atmosphere they would like to create.

We can also learn between 1 and 3 special requests for an event, provided that the songs are suitable for our musical style and line-up. We specialise in jazz, swing, vintage music and iconic French chansons, so we particularly welcome requests that fit naturally within this musical universe.

For weddings and special celebrations, we are always happy to discuss meaningful songs with the client in advance.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Clients often describe our performances as elegant, sophisticated, authentic and full of energy.

Ô de mon Chéri is particularly known for her distinctive vintage voice, playful and charismatic stage presence, extensive collection of glamorous vintage-inspired outfits and her ability to recreate the atmosphere of another era without ever feeling like an imitation.

With extensive experience in luxury hospitality and high-end events, we understand the importance of presentation, discretion, timing and adapting to the atmosphere of each occasion.

Clients also regularly appreciate our professionalism behind the scenes: quick and clear communication, reliability, flexibility and an ability to understand what an event requires and respond efficiently.

Whether creating sophisticated background music or a high-energy performance that gets guests dancing, our aim is always to make the entertainment feel effortless, stylish and memorable.
