The Best gig I’ve ever done was also at one of my favorite venues, The Rainbow Room in NYC. It was the best gig ever because it was challenging. The crowd was mixed ages and eras and we had the task of getting everyone engaged and having a great time. Working together with the rest of the band and fellow musicians, we got the crowd moving, singing and dancing all night long, even singing louder than the band. It was a very gratifying feeling to be able to read the room and resound accordingly!
I love performing at all sorts of events. Weddings are my favorite because I get to curate a moment in time that is meaningful and will leave a lasting memory for my clients. I especially like working with clients who are nervous or apprehensive about what to expect. I love to see the joy on their faces at the end of the event when their concerns are forgotten, and they are exhausted from having the most wonderful experience.
I’ve performed all over the world on many stages, big and small. Music is in my blood as it has been passed down from generations of singers before me in my family.
I have many musical influences that have contributed to the kind of artist and performer that I am today. Artists like Michael Jackson, Stevie wonder, T Pain, Jay Z have left a mark on me and are examples of the type of energy I bring.
I normally arrive 1-2 hours before the performance/event to liase with the client/band to go over the flow of the event. I am happy to play a bit longet or shorter to suit the needs of the clients.
I am happy to perform outside weather permitting and access to power supply
I can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from my repertoire or let me choose the music for them given my ability to ready the rom and adjust.
