Sohomelo Studio Video, drone & photo production plus branding and social media in the Algarve

For filming we just need access to the venue before the event starts so we can walk the space and plan our angles. For drone footage we need an outdoor area where flying is permitted - we check airspace restrictions and handle the flight planning ourselves.

The address, a timeline or running order for the day, key moments you want captured (speeches, first dance, product reveal, etc.), any venue rules about filming or flying a drone, and parking or loading details.

We bring all our own filming equipment: cameras, gimbal stabilisers, lavalier microphones for interviews and speeches, and extra artistic lighting when the shoot needs it. We do not provide PA systems or event lighting.

Some of our favourite projects have been with Algarve businesses we've grown alongside - filming training sessions and promo content for Algarve Fight Academy, property tours for Century 21 Oceanic, and events for 12th Space. Shooting with the Algarve coastline as a backdrop never gets old.

We love events where people are genuinely enjoying themselves - weddings, private parties and brand launches. Real emotion makes the best footage, and a highlight film that brings guests back to the moment is the most rewarding thing we deliver.

Sohomelo Studio started as a husband-and-wife team of digital creators based near Vilamoura. We began by making content for local businesses and grew into a full studio covering video, drone, photography, branding and social media for clients across the Algarve.

We arrive around 30-60 minutes before the event to scout the venue and set up. We can cover anything from a short 1-2 hour session up to a full day; our minimum booking is 2 hours. Standard delivery takes a few days, and urgent 24-48 hour delivery is available.

Yes - most of our work is outdoors and the Algarve light is a big part of our style. For drone footage we need suitable weather (no rain or strong wind) and an area where flying is allowed.

Absolutely. Before the event we agree a shot list and the key moments you want captured, and you choose the style of edit - from a simple Reel to a cinematic film with colour grading. Every project includes 2 rounds of revisions.
