Often described as ‘the finest gypsy jazz in the Cotswolds’, Swing from Paris are a UK quartet of violin, guitars and double bass. Expect stylish jazz and vintage swing.
Do you take bookings for weddings?
We certainly do! Our music is a great accompaniment for events such as drinks receptions.
How long do you play for?
We usually perform a single set of 1 hour or two sets of 45 minutes, with a 20min break.
What do you need provided?
Our requirements are just for two chairs, wet-weather cover if outdoors, and a power socket nearby.
Do you have public liability insurance?
Yes – our public liability insurance is provided via the Musicians Union. Certificates for proof of cover can be provided.
About the band
Inspired by the great swing bands of the 1930s and 40s, Swing from Paris present their own versions of music by Gershwin, Piazzolla, John Lewis, Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli. They’ve been seen on the BBC’s Hairy Bikers, and have appeared at major jazz festivals including Cheltenham, Brecon and the Django Reinhardt Festival at Samois sur Seine.

We have played together for 20 years, after a chance meeting at a jazz club jam session.
We're influenced by the wonderful music of the 1930s and 40s swing era.
Around 1 – 2 hours in total, consisting of 2 sets with a short break. Eg: 2 x 45 minute sets.
Setup time is around 1 hour prior to performance.
We can play outside but need power nearby and some cover.
