Synthesi is the hardest working Greek band on the west coast. In addition to live Greek music, we offer DJ services, cocktail groups and more. Our instrumentation includes bouzouki, violin, keyboards/vocals, bass and drums. We are based in southern california but we are able to travel to wherever the party is!

We can provide sound for most gigs. We bring our own mixer to all gigs and we use in ear monitors. Larger festivals would require sound reinforcement.

Our best gig has been our annual performance at the Phoenix Greek Festival. The crowd and organizers are amazing!
We love all events where the crowd is having a blast dancing and partying. I would say that playing for festival crowds is one of my favorite type of gigs. We are really able to play a variety of music at most festivals. Because of the eclectic crowd, we often play not only Greek, but Armenian, Arabic, Persian, and more!
I started gigging at 16 years old in a band called the Greeks, here in Long Beach, CA. Since then, I've played tons of gigs in many genres and I was musical director at many Greek and international nightclubs in Los Angeles for about 10 years. During my time with Synthesi, we have played hundreds of gigs both here in town and as far as Panama, Alaska, and Pittsburgh.
my greatest influences are George Dalaras, Stelios Kazantzidis, and Zafiris Melas, although I love many, many different artists. I love far too many songs to pick one!
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. Performance times are entirely flexible and can be tailored to each particular event.
Yes, we often play outside as long as we are protected from the elements.
