Hailing from the streets of Gugulethu, Cape Town. South Africa’s Thando Skwatsha brings heart and soul to the performing arts.
A multitalented performer, Thando is known for combining his heartfelt, uplifting melodies and powerful vocals to weave a tapestry of contemporary African sounds that speaks for itself. His charismatic stage presence and extensive background as a lead choral singer have seen him grace stages around the world.
As a multilingual writer, Thando shares his stories poetically in his home language, isiXhosa as well as isiZulu and English.
He draws from his Xhosa heritage, family and life experience and crafts stories that leave listeners with hope, love and consolation in times of hardship and joy, perspective and peace in times of plenty.
His music is not his own, it is for all of us and it is his deep hope that it will accompany and ease us through the highs and lows that we may experience on our journey.

we need a performance space of at least 8meters by 5 meters. We require 2 x 13 amp power sockets and 3 parking spaces. please email us for the full technical rider.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right entrance to load in our equipment. We'd also need to be informed if there's a sound limiter in the venue.
We will need full sound and lighting equipment as well as a PA system to all our gigs and a simple lighting rig.
Yes, we're happy to play music from Spotify before or after our sets. we are happy to choose the music or let the client choose the music.
I performed with Hans Zimmer and Lebo M in 2024 while on tour with them. we played many venues accross North America including Madison Square Garden which was my favourite.
We love playing at all sort of events but corporate gigs and weddings are our favourties.
I started gigging alone in the US whilst studying and once I came home to south africa I started doing regular gigs both private and public.
I am influenced by a plethora of artists ranging from Amanda Black to Beyonce and incorporate most styles in my music.
Yes all our music is available on all streaming platforms
Normally we prefer a 2 hour set up and at least an hour closed soundcheck. we perform for about 2 hours either straight or can divide it accordingly depending on the clients preference.
Yes we are happy to perform outside, we just require, shade, elevated flat surface and nearby power supply
Unfortunately clients do not have a say in what we play.
Previous clients describe us as a high energy performance group who made them weep sing and dance throughout the show.
