Wren Hinds is available as a Solo, Duo, or Full Band performance. Technical requirements vary according to the ensemble size, and adequate performance space should be provided for the selected configuration.

A safe, level performance area with access to reliable mains power is required. Please confirm in advance whether the venue will be providing a professional PA system and experienced sound engineer, or whether the artist is expected to supply sound reinforcement and technical personnel.

Solo: Suitable performance space for 1 performer.
Duo: Suitable performance space for 2 performers.
Full Band: Suitable performance space for 4 musicians, with sufficient room for drums, amplifiers, and stage monitors.

A full technical rider and stage plot can be supplied upon confirmation of the booking if required.

With over 15 years of professional performing experience, Wren Hinds has toured extensively throughout South Africa and internationally, appearing at leading festivals, concert venues, theatres, and intimate cultural spaces. He has shared stages with internationally acclaimed artists, performed sold-out headline tours, and released multiple critically acclaimed albums through the UK label Bella Union. His work has been featured by MOJO, Rolling Stone South Africa, Folk Radio UK, and Mail & Guardian, establishing him as one of South Africa's most respected contemporary singer-songwriters.

Wren's musical influences span generations, from The Beatles, Elvis Presley, Django Reinhardt and Billie Holiday to Nick Drake, Neil Young, Bon Iver, José González and Fleet Foxes. If he had to choose a favourite song, it would be "Harvest Moon" by Neil Young.

We normally arrive 1hr before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.

We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area

We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them
