Review Centre: Percussionists

"Last year my band Smacked Youth embarked on our first ever tour of UK and Europe all the way from sunny Australia. Our drummer was unable to make the tour so after some scrolling online I found my new friend for life Sebastian Fernandez. Seb learnt all of our set perfectly within a short period of time leading up to the tour. We touched down in Heathrow and then went to rehearsal where Seb absolutely nailed the drum parts. The next few weeks that followed were some of the most adventurous and memorable times I’ve had in my life. Was an honour to work with Seb and I will cherish our friendship forever."

I have met only a few people in my 15+ years of experience who is on his level of expertise. When working with Sebastian, he’ll truly help elevate your live performance or session work. He asks the best questions and doesn’t leave anything to chance. He’ll study your music, but also has a brilliant ear so he is able to improvise and write his own interpretation as needed. Con la loro splendida musica sudamericana hanno creato un’atmosfera magica e al tempo stesso piena di energia. "Kateryna Plinska — 25 June 2024 Wedding In Argentiere, France "We asked Douglas to perform at our 2 day wedding event in Argentiere, and never regretted it. Douglas was very engaging and flexible, trying to accommodate all our requests and changing weather conditions which was not easy in the mountains in June. Despite slightly unpredictable weather conditions, we had really amazing time with Douglas, in particular due to his amazing sense of the atmosphere/mood in the room which guaranteed that his music selection was always spot on. Douglas’ live performance was amazing, as well as his DJ’ing later at night. At the end of the night, our guests didn’t want to let him go. We would certainly always recommend Douglas for events of any size."

"Dereck was absolutely phenomenal and energizing for our guests. His variety of genres really created a festive atmosphere for all ages attending. We could not stay off our feet and danced as the singing was irresistable. It was a definitely worth the price as it was the most fulfilling and unique live music I have ever experienced. Bravo and hats off!!!!"

"It has been a delight watching Jord perform multiple times over the years. The sheer talent that’s on the stage is absolutely incredible. You can see her passion and drive and dedication to putting on a good performance. When she plays the bongos she engages with the crowds and even lets them have a go. She always has a smile on her face and gives off the most positive vibes. It really truly is a great experience that you wouldn’t want to miss seeing. Cannot wait to see her shine again soon!"

"Our Senior Home residents cannot stop talking and reminiscing about the fun they had with this steelpan player! His singing, playing and choices of songs brought back precious memories for them and their families. He is a very skilled player and was very interactive with everyone especially when we made a conga-line in our recreation area. We are looking forward to having him play for several of our upcoming events this year. A great addition to any celebration for sure, a must repeat entertainer for sure :-)"
