They went far beyond just playing music: they offered us valuable advice, constant support, and effective solutions for every aspect of the entertainment. On our wedding day, they were simply outstanding, top-level musicians who knew how to engage and entertain all our guests. "Miss Dolores and her excellent 'combo' played a selected repertoire for our wedding reception in December. We were impressed with the band's flexibility and quality of performance and of course Miss Dolores's beautiful and seemingly effortless singing. So many of our guests commented on the band and congratulated us on choosing them. Miss Dolores looked stunning in a lovely sequinned dress. In planning for the event she was keen to give us what we wanted, offering us an extensive repertoire of American song book, swing, latin, lounge, jive, rock & roll and contemporary songs, based on our initial conversations, and said there were many more to choose from if we needed them! She also recorded the song we'd selected for our 'first dance' so we could practice to it beforehand, which was very helpful indeed. Thank you Miss Dolores, we loved the music and relaxed vibe you generated for us on our special day."

"James was so terrific that words don’t give him justice! His performance blew the guests (Naval Officers and High Ranking friends) of my father Admiral James "Ace" Lyons' 90th birthday party away! He sang very special songs that brought back very found memories of the past locations where we lived around the world! James was absolutely wonderful and accommodated everything I had ask and dreamed of. Lastly, James' rendition of ‘My Way” brought tears to everybody's eyes! It was better than Frank Sinatra's and just an unbelievable fantastic evening that none of us will ever forget! Thank you so much!! Michele Lyons"

Their music was perfect as background entertainment during conversations, while at times becoming delightfully upbeat and swingy. They were not only great to listen to, but also nice to watch — they clearly enjoyed performing, and that energy was contagious. "Absolutely magical – perfect experience from start to finish! I can’t recommend this band enough! Every single request they managed to fulfil – at our wedding we wanted to have a welcome party with a saxophone & DJ – the show was incredible, everyone loved it and the ambience was perfect. For the wedding day the band played during the aperitif where the vibe was absolutely perfect and then after dinner and the cake cutting they amped it up to more dancing tunes which was the best warm up to the DJ set they recommended, again with the saxophone. I loved it so much, the guests did, the communication was so easy, they were so responsive and met every requests, 100/100! "
