Review Centre: Wedding Bands

"I'm not sure if there are many events that receive such detailed planning attention as do weddings. When my son and future daughter in law asked me if I could find a classical guitarist for their mid-summer outdoor wedding, I was thrilled to be assigned a specific role and to help. Stephan Kane came to us with strong recommendation. He exceeded our expectations from the first moment. At the bride's special request, Stephan was asked to play "La Valse d'Amelie" for the processional. I had heard the piece previously arranged for piano and for orchestra but never for guitar. Stephan created an arrangement for guitar especially for the event. Given that the event was outdoors and the procession stretched a goodly distance, timing the processional was part of the challenge. Stephan did that beautifully. Additionally, he provided lovely selections of his choosing as the guests assembled, appropriate amplification equipment, and executed both set up and break down of his equipment expeditiously and discretely. Stephan was politely responsive to my emails, communicated well and completely, and did for us everything that was expected and more. To me and to many, live music enhances any event. Working with a wonderful musician like Stephan, who is, as well as talented, gracious and humble, makes adding the magic of live music to the ambiance an easy decision. Val J."

"One of the best decisions I made was when I found this band and asked them to please perform! They were EXCEPTIONAL. Communicating with Stefano before the wedding- he was amazing, helping me with the SIAE, their response times were so quick, and so kind – they are also so so talented and great at what they do! "We managed to secure Le Freak four days before our 30th birthday party and I’m so glad we did. They were amazing! They looked fantastic, sang fantastic and just had everyone up on the dance floor. Their songs were classic party songs with a range of well known songs. We couldn’t have asked for a better band. Would highly recommend. Thank you so much 💜"

"The Bit Band did an incredible job at our wedding. Covering the ceremony, cocktails and dance party…and what a party it was!!! Our guests are still talking about the band after three months. Their repertoire is huge and Mary and Nadyne have the pipes and are great entertainers. Mary was a dream to work with. Always attentive to our needs and answered our emails within 24 hours. If you are looking for a band, do not look any further. This is THE band to get at your wedding."

"Lifetime Rocker is a quartet of local musicians that take their craft very seriously. Excellent playing, great 4 part harmonies and a set list that is crazy good. From Ambrosia to Steely Dan to Cream, The Police, Springsteen, Toto, Supertramp and more. Great bands and great songs. This is definitely for those of us who are more "seasoned" in our musical preferences, but make no mistake, these guys flat bring it. Kelly Cowan, Ray Ortega, Geoff Ryle and Chris Buck have done their homework and it shows. Keep an eye out for their next performance and don't miss it. This was more than just watching a band... this was a concert."

"G Clef was an amazing Duo. They were great to work with. I am in Canada and met with them online to discuss my vision of the proposal, which would take place in Portugal. I sent them the 3 songs I wanted them to sing during the proposal. 2 of the songs they did not know, but they spent the time to learn them. As they were learning the new songs, they even created a demo of the 3 songs I requested so I could hear how they sounded. I was impressed. The proposal took place in a cave that is only accessible by boat from Armacao de Pera. The duo had to meet the boat crew ahead of time and get dropped off in the cave, which gave them time to set up. They brought a battery-powered amplifier for the guitar and vocals. Everything worked out perfectly. This group was great to work with and sounded excellent; they even performed an additional song of their choice, which was a perfect fit for the moment. I would highly recommend them for any event you have planned. "

"Love The Jersey SureCats! The Jersey SureCats had my party rockin! The guests absolutely loved them and a few are even going to book the band for their own upcoming events. The Cats had everyone up and dancing and just feeling happy! The lead singer, Eileen, even got out into the crowd to interact with the guests and everyone was just loving the entire experience! I would definitely book The Jersey SureCats again and hope to see them play again!"
