"The Aegir Room February 1, 26 FB post: Had a wonderful evening seeing Paul Wainwright perform at The Oswego Hotel’s Aegir Room in James Bay. From the moment he started playing, it was clear we were in for something special. A terrific performance in an intimate setting, paired with delicious food, cold beverages, and genuinely excellent service — it all added up to a delightful night of music, friends, and great vibes. If you haven’t seen Paul Wainwright perform (and honestly, where have you been? He’s been a mainstay of the local music scene for years), I highly recommend you make it a point to catch him live. Good news: Paul will be back at the Aegir Room (the coolest lounge in Victoria) at The Oswego Hotel on Sunday, February 8th and Sunday, February 15th, from 6:00–8:00 pm. Reservations are recommended. Support live music and treat yourself to a fantastic evening — you won’t be disappointed."

"Paul played at our wedding celebration this weekend... And he was absolutely phenomenal!!! What a legend! He was a true professional from the lead up to the wedding and throughout. He's friendly, thoughtful, and always replies to any questions. Not only that... He is an AMAZING sax player!!! He smashed it out of the park and everyone at the wedding was dancing and loved his music. He is a top guy, brilliant musician, and we couldn't recommend him highly enough! "I was fortunate enough to attend a concert by the Freshwater Jazz Players: it was a fun-filled experience filled with great music. Their repertoire, strictly acoustic, draws inspiration from greats of the past like Sidney Bechet and Django Reinhardt, including the tango of Astor Piazzolla, but also embraces original music and period Italian pieces, with that light-hearted, self-deprecating spirit that the group's name suggests. Unmissable!"

"I go to el Mercado District with my family, and I love hearing Dr. Saxy play. No matter what song he plays, he always seems to bring the right kind of vibe. He can get people up to dance or even just interacting with him when he plays. It is obvious he is very talented. "

"The Jazz'o played at our wedding in September, and it was absolutely perfect. The guests loved them, and their jazz style worked for everything from light background music during the aperitif and to dance music during and after the dinner. They are very talented. From my initial email inquiry through to the entire event, Vito (the bassist) was very professional and responsive. They were so helpful in making suggestions, including sending us a list of songs they could play that are appropriate for different parts of the ceremony. They have a large song repertoire from classics, to jazz to modern. I would recommend them very highly!"
