"The Blue Moon Jazz Quartet provided a wonderful soundtrack to our wedding celebration in Tuscany. Raphael was very helpful in the preparation for the event: describing how the band would set up, where and when they would move for each aspect of the celebration, and helping us in the choice of music too. On the day, they were really flexible in accommodating exactly what we wanted and kept playing for longer than planned as everyone was having such a good time. The singer really pulled out the stops and they were a great success, creating just the atmosphere we wanted. We would certainly recommend Raphael and the Blue Moon Jazz Trio/Quartet for your event! "Just wanted to say thanks again for last night. Everyone was saying how well you played and you certainly got us all up dancing, which is just what I was hoping for. Glad to hear that you all enjoyed it too."

"Thank you so much for the wonderful performance! Elite Syncopations provided the perfect musical accompaniment to this years' Fulham Palace Edwardian Garden Party. You and your band members really set the upbeat tone for the entire afternoon, despite the rain, helping to make the event such a success. "

" All Music Review Thom Jurek The title of this set is an apt one. While much of the music presented by the Rick Holland-Evan Dobbins Little Big Band, it hearkens back -- in terms of its sophistication, confidence and outright jazz literacy, not nostalgically -- to an era when progressive jazz, and big bands (this one numbering 10 pieces) flourished on the scene. This is one sophisticated outfit. Featuring the arrangement and compositional skills of Brent Wallarab, Jim Martin, Bill Dobbins and Kerry Strayer, this band struts out the tradition and make some joyous, complex, and elegant music that reflects its own unique identity. The résumés of all these players are impressive and reflected in the confidence of the date. It opens with "SUNY-Triangle," a Martin composition that works its artful sleight-of-hand over Antonio Carlos Jobim's "Triste." Martin uses the rhythmically complex samba and drapes some tough, knotty twists and turns over it. The intro is a beautiful and raucous wake-up call, while the head of the tune, with its staggered entrances and exits -- including some fine soloing by John Viavattine on tenor and John Nyerges on piano -- give this tune a unique identity. "Creature Comfort" is a beautiful mid-tempo ballad by Wallarab with edgeless yet multi-dimensional dissonances written into its harmonics. It swings beautifully and includes a fine, punchy solo by tenorman Glenn Cashman. Besides the originals, there are some fine readings here as well. There's Wallarab's arrangement of Duke Ellington's "Black and Tan Fantasy" that's a thoroughly modern exercise losing none of Ellington's humor or rhythmic complexity. Likewise, Gerry Mulligan's haunting, wee-hours, "Night Lights," is given expert treatment here by Strayer, and Dean Keller's baritone saxophone playing combines Mulligan's sense of lyric and Ben Webster's sense of time. In Time's Shadow reveals that innovation need not sacrifice accessibility or swing. It is convincing evidence that the big band form is alive, well and full of surprises."

" We first danced to Ostrich Hat at fraternity parties in college. 8.5 years later, they're better than ever. They had our wedding on the dance floor for hours straight. Their first set absolutely killed it, we didn't know how they could top themselves, but they kept the party going until we were literally kicked out of the venue. The band was partying right along side us. Jeff was super easy to work with, very responsive, and on top of all of the details. People have been asking us for the band's information for weeks since the wedding. They were the best, and made our wedding the best party of our lives!"

"We had Wrecking Crew Express perform at our house for a B-Day party on Saturday. They blew us away with how awesome they are as singers and musicians. The three lead singers were fabulous. Gary was so easy to work with and organized everything for us. We had a crowd of about 60 people. Everyone I talked to was blown away at the quality of the music. Strongly recommend! "Christina and Harry did an amazing set at our wedding, they really made the perfect atmosphere. Christina has a great voice and guests loved them. Booking them was so easy and they learnt our requested songs. Great that they were able to move with our guests on the day, so they could enjoy their music outside too. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!"
