I've had the privilege of seeing her perform multiple times, and each time I'm blown away by her skill, precision, and stage presence. "When planning my daughter's wedding, which was always destined to be a multicultural blend of music genres, styles, and rhythmic offerings, I was set on finding that flair to entertain our guests with a little taste of their own familiar music and I happened upon the One Man Steel Drum Band on a popular gig website. With the union of the kids spanning the globe and including West Indian, Latin, and Russian culture, this was a perfect choice! Upon establishing contact with John Skoczen, I realized very quickly that he would be an effective and professional communicator who cared not only about his role in our event but also the appeal of such things as attire, the set list, any particular requests related to the guests, and the full gamut of helping us to make our event delightful. John consistently maintained contact with me regarding updates, directions, and special elements. No portions of our interactions were confusing for me. He was so patient and understanding upon arriving at the venue whereas I was as a scattered and frazzled mother of the bride and coordinator. "Working with Will was very effortless and in my opinion better than sitting in a rehearsal studio trying to get the drum tracks down and recorded. Saved me countless hours and money. He knew exactly what the songs called for once I gave him examples of what I was after. Offered his opinion when asked without being critical and showed great depth with his skill, knowledge and professionalism. He was very responsive and flexible with changes we made on the fly. He's a real genuine bloke and you can bet I'll be back for more drum tracks with Will."

"(Sax perspective) Do NOT slip on this man.. He wasn’t only easy to play with, but a joy to play with!! I can’t speak more highly even if I could. In the sax/woodwind world it’s tough because you’re more solo/lead dominant; Bear rose to the occasion and actually LISTENED as a TRUE percussionist. He’s a soloist AND instrumentalist, and that’s super hard to find. (ie. When I was playing straight through a solo.. he did; when I had rhythmic augmentation.. Bear did; no matter the tempi) DAWG."

"Dereck was absolutely phenomenal and energizing for our guests. His variety of genres really created a festive atmosphere for all ages attending. We could not stay off our feet and danced as the singing was irresistable. It was a definitely worth the price as it was the most fulfilling and unique live music I have ever experienced. Bravo and hats off!!!!"

"We had an 18th birthday garden party for my daughter and Tim brought the Ibiza sunset vibes with his amazing bongo set! The beat was infectious, everyone was up dancing, and it honestly felt like we’d been transported to Ibiza. He completely elevated the atmosphere, we highly recommend Tim for your event! Daria"
