Review Centre: Cover Bands

"Jeff and his band played at our towns performing arts venue in Sarasota FL, they do an outdoor concert once a month through the summer months. After seeing them perform in front of hundreds of people and absolutely killing it, we began an effort to lure them to play our wedding. We drove an hour and watched he and his guitarist play a set at a small bar in Tampa and knew we had made the right decision. For our wedding, Jeff and his guitarist played an acoustic set during the reception/dinner followed by the full band rocking the place until the wee hours (they left around 4am). Jeff was energetic, professional and kept my guests dancing and having fun. Don't hesitate, just do it."

"I can't recommend The Wahoos highly enough! The band were professional from start to finish, and made everything a breeze. They were responsive, and easy to communicate with when booking, and more than happy to accommodate our requests. On the day, the band were punctual, and very friendly, which really put us at ease. Once the evening began, they had the guests on the dance floor all night. We had so much positive feedback from our guests too! A huge thank you for helping to make our day one we'll never forget! "BEST Party Ever! - - January 16, 2020 We booked the Josh West Trio for our New Year's Eve Party at a 55+ community. He came and blew us ALL away! I am still getting compliments on the party and the band from that night along with requests for them to come back, and soon! They were polite, came and set up and was ready to go on time and brought great lights and equipment to really give the entire party a great ambiance. They played not only what our age group loves, but newer music and some classics too. They were able to read the room and play a great mix of slow and upbeat dancing music. Normally in our community (even on New Year's Eve), people leave by 8:00 p.m. We had more than half the people stay until the toast at 10:00 p.m. (toasted with New York for an earlier night). He communicated great leading up to the date and asked all the right questions to ensure everything was covered. Thank you Josh for making this party the BEST one we've had!"

"I wanted a swing/jazz band for my wedding, and oh boy, did they deliver! They were swinging, and lively; their repertoire was quite expansive. They reached out to ask if I had any specific songs and then added additional pieces that suited the style I wanted. We contracted them for both the ceremony and the reception, we had a 3 piece band for the ceremony (piano, bass, and sax) They showed up early and set up with no extra help needed, played some gentle jazz music until the ceremony began, and even added in a drummer for no extra charge. I flip-flopped on the song I wanted to walk down the aisle to until almost the very last moment, and they were incredibly understanding and flexible. For the ceremony, we requested a 7 piece band so it could be boisterous and fun. There was almost no time that the dance floor was empty from the moment they began playing, even though the music they played was a sort of old-school jazz that few people know how to properly dance to. They played so well and brought such an element of joy and fun, that all our guests felt comfortable enough to dance all night. We learned how to swing dance for our first dance (Louis Armstrong, 'Bout Time), and the band played it to perfection (even if we didn't dance it perfectly LOL). This moment is one I will treasure forever, it was exactly as I had wanted it to be. For the rest of the night, they played off a setlist of a few songs I gave them and filled in the rest with their own recommendations. The singer has the most beautiful voice, all the band members play perfectly, I felt like I was in a 1920s jazz bar which was exactly what I had wanted. We had guests approach us all throughout the night, and even now to ask who the band was and to congratulate us on such a fun event. If you want a band that can swing, rock, and any other musical verb you like, this is the band you want. They were so communicative, helpful, and perfectly able to understand my vision. To the Orignal Moonlighters: thank you for making my wedding as special as it was."

"We hired the Upbeats Duo for my wifes 50th birthday party and they were genuinely fantastic. Communication throughout the booking process and run up to the party was first class. They arrived on time and were set-up and ready to go exactly to the timetable we had agreed. The performance itself was really good and they had added a couple of my wife's favourites into the set. We were a fairly small group of fifty but that did not dampen the Upbeats enthusiasm. If you booked them for an event I can't see how you would be disappointed. "

"Honestly, this band is the best. Amazing musicians, brilliant vocals and they get any place they play absolutely jumping. They engage beautifully with their audience making everyone feel part of one big party. Add to that they are all lovely guys and you have a great night ahead if the Evil Trouser Monkeys are playing. Go and see them, you will not be disappointed . "

"Chuck and Cheri played for our daughter’s wedding rehearsal dinner on November 11, 2022. I cannot say enough about them. They are professional arrived way ahead of time to set up and their music was absolutely amazing. Everyone loved them. "Had the good fortune of seeing this band perform after being invited to a gig by a friend. I saw a high energy two hour set , a mix of old and new songs delivered with real passion. The drummer set a good powerful pace at the back locking in with a tight bass player who also served up some great vocal harmonies. The guitarist was faultless too , changing styles with ease , a great rhythm player and dropping in a few razor sharp lead breaks as well. Then there's the lead vocalist , the focal point of the band . It's really difficult sometimes when an audience is hard to ' break down ' , sometimes an audience takes time to warm up and that's what happened here but this lead singer could get a mortuary up and dancing ! When a band is enjoying the gig this will ( usually ) filter through to the audience . Well done guys , I would recommend every time , I have Faith. Over and out ."

"We hired the Original Moonlighters for our wedding band, and they were absolutely fantastic! We had a large wedding, with a lot of guests that have different musical tastes, but this band was able to get everyone on the dance floor and brought amazing energy to the wedding. They had a wide set list and made our special day even more fun."

"American Tradition saved the day! I had a band cancel on me last minute and American Tradition was able to step up and play at my event. It ended up being a blessing because this band was even better! They were professional and great to work with and had a great classic county set list (the best music of all!)"
