"The Swing Quartet played wonderful music at the vernissage of my exhibition in De Breek in Oosthuizen. High quality. And especially for me, my favorite song from the Andrew sisters ' bei mir bist du shein' . Fantastic."

"All members of the band were friendly, polite and enthusiastic about what they were bringing to the event, they added a really sense of occasion to the afternoon, and Residents and Parishioners attending the event were so delighted with the standard of performance and the variety of songs performed. Once the band had finished the event fizzled out earlier than it might have done if we had had them for longer! Thank you so much for your time and brilliant performance on the day."

"Annelise Molloy performed at our WW1 Centenary Commemoration. She is an incredible singer and was the perfect booking. Her song choices were great and very fitting for the day. The crowds loved her and many enquired about booking her in the future. I would totally recommend! 5 stars"

"Jesper Hedegaard, Danish pianist/composer, has spent much of his career playing Brazilian music. In addition to his undeniable talent, he plays with the most important element required to interpret Brazilian music: Passion. Undoubtedly, he is an exponent of the genre, keeping wonderful nuances of Brazilian music alive in Europe. Brazil is grateful”."
Guilherme Vergueiro, one of Brazil's greatest pianists (40 years of acquaintance)

"I love jazz but many of my party guests were not so keen. After Vibrant Jazz entertained us for a brilliant evening I have had so many comments about how good they were and how much they enjoyed the music. Many thanks for helping the night go with a swing!"

"David Hitchen has guested at our Jazz Festival in 2021, and 2022. We have booked him again for 2023. He played brilliantly with our jazz Quartet, and even presented some of the show himself, in excellent French. He paid tribute to the jazz trumpet greats, and even interacted superbly with the organisers children, who played tye encore with the group. Make sure you book this guy. He's awesome!"

"All of this is an admittedly roundabout way of confessing that I wasn't prepared to be as delighted as I am with Go Tell It on the Mountain (Silkheart), an album of traditional hymns and originals with heaven-gazing titles by Booker T. Williams Jr., a New York-based tenor saxophonist originally from Seattle who performs as Booker T. The obsessive soul-searching implicit in the programming suggests an affinity with John Coltrane. But unlike too many of the saxophonists who aim for Coltrane's spiritual elevation, Booker T has a devilish sense of humor best illustrated by his "Say amen, Gracie" drollery on "What a Friend We Have in Jesus," a homey little melody he elongates and fragments with the comic Ă©lan of a Sonny Rollins. In fact, the classic album that Go Tell It on the Mountain most recalls is Way Out West, Rollins's 1958 album of cowboy tunes--and not just because Booker T, like Rollins before him, finds inspiration in unlikely places. It's also because Booker T's interaction with the bassist Saheb Sarbib and the drummer Andrew Cyrille is as carefree and almost as electrifying as Rollins's with Ray Brown and Shelly Manne thirty years ago (or better yet, with Wilbur Ware and Elvin Jones on A Night at the Village Vanguard, from around the same time). Despite the sarcasm implicit in Booker T's low-register bleats, his performances of "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Jesus Loves Me" exude sincerity, much the way Rollins's interpretations of oddball pop tunes do. For Booker T, as for Rollins, satire is a sign of respect, not condescension. Booker T is ecumenical: one of the album's most infectious cuts is "Halle Kalle Mazeltov," a hora whose modality he cagily exploits. The Spartan trio format means that Sarbib and Cyrille have to function as soloists as well as rhythm stalwarts, and both men shoulder the added burden gracefully, maintaining melodic continuity in a manner that bassists and drummers seldom do when they solo. Despite the length of some of the tracks (the title tune, which is just over sixteen minutes, is a Booker T original, not the folk song of the same name), Booker T's solos never deteriorate into self-indulgent braying. His sense of thematic exposition is too well developed for that-another cue he takes from Rollins. (And as if to underscore his lineage, the CD-only bonus track is Rollins's calypso "St. Thomas.") He switches to alto on his own "When Mama Cries I Cry," and his phrasing is impressively speechlike on this lighter horn. "

"Captain Star was absolutely perfect for our wedding. The music was exceptional, and the vocals were always on and quite impressive. We had so many family and friends come up to us after and exclaim how wonderful they were. The music during dinner was perfect, as well as during the dancing/party. They exceeded all of our expectations, and we couldn't have dreamt of any better musicians. We would recommend them to anyone who is having a wedding in France"

"The guys were very good and impeccable, from the church to the cutting of the cake, we were accompanied by their music and satisfied with all our requests: even today we receive compliments for them from our guests. Thanks to them we did our first slow on a song which, among other things, was not present in their repertoire but which they knew how to play and interpret very well. We recommend choosing Jazz'O not only for their undisputed professionalism and skill, but also and above all for their sympathy and their heart."

"I booked Mellowtone Jazz for my Mums 90th Birthday garden party. I cannot commend the band enough. I chose to have the trio and all 3 band members were so talented, friendly and accommodating. We we so pleased with the fabulous music they played. My Mum had the most wonderful time and she was so overwhelmed with it all. We had so much good feedback from our guests on how much they enjoyed the music. I would not hesitate to book Mellowtone Jazz again for our next party. (10 / 10) "
