Photo of Dunlap and Mabe Dunlap and Mabe "I watched their promo video and thought this band would be a great fit for our community gathering. My main job is in concert audio, and I work with bands every week. I've done high main stream bands and garage bands, Robert Mabe put on a performance that was breath taking amazing. His band's sound was like nothing anyone has heard, our audience was silent with anticipation of the band's next musical note. Before the show was over city officials asked me for their contact info to bring them in for next year's fair concert. This band is worth 10 times what they charge. They are the real deal and will blow away your audience. And yes we're bringing them back." Based in Winchester, Virginia Joshua B. - Concert Photo of John Madeley - Solo Acoustic John Madeley - Solo Acoustic "John Madeley was very professional and entertaining. We would book him again in the future." Based in Center City, Pennsylvania 17th July 2026 Brett Daniels - Private Event Photo of Timmy Lee and The Super Cool Dude Club Timmy Lee and The Super Cool Dude Club "Timmy Lee and his band are just incredible!!! They have played my annual party for three years now, and for sure be back again next year! Tim is a great guy and very accommodating to needs required to play shows. Did I mention he needs to be on the radio so everyone can enjoy his music!" Based in Rock Hill, South Carolina Andy Robbins - Private House party Photo of Joshua Kocses Joshua Kocses "Joshua performs acoustic guitar and dual lead vocals with Sean Cox DC Duo and they are amazing. Their range of material spans from decades of performing in the New York, New Jersey and Los Angels & Orange County California area in restaurants, pubs, clubs, private parties, weddings, yacht clubs, boats and veterans/military events. Joshua is a former US Marine and that level of precision is scene and heard in their music. They interact with their audiences and make different people of all types feel welcome." Based in Princeton, New Jersey Emily Newcastle - The Roost Creamridge, New Jersey Photo of Cold Weather Company Cold Weather Company "I can't say enough wonderful things about Cold Weather Company! Steve was my primary contact and he responded to every email promptly. He answered yes to all requests. The band arrived on time and agreed to stay for a late night acoustic set. They were consummate professionals. The music is why we chose the band, and it was amazing & beautiful to hear live. They were the perfect blend of background music that you really want to stop your conversation to listen to, however their cover of Let It Be was so moving, it silenced the room. We could not have chosen better for our fundraiser, all 150 guests were entertained! We are still hearing rave reviews." Based in New Brunswick, New Jersey Christine P. - Corporate Event Photo of Manhattan Jazz Trio Manhattan Jazz Trio "Having the Manhattan Trio perform at our summer cocktail party was great. The music added a nice atmosphere to the party, with elegant jazz standards everybody recognized. The band even took some requests from guest and performed them beautifully. If you are looking for a sophisticated and elegant jazz music atmosphere, this is it!" Based in New York 20th March 2026 Marco S. - Cocktail Party

Frequently asked questions

The average cost of hiring acoustic bands is $550, with prices from $160 to $2,050+. Pricing depends on the number of band members, performance duration and whether additional equipment such as a PA system is included. Acoustic bands vary widely in line-up, from duos to larger ensembles, and this is typically the biggest factor in cost.

The acoustic bands for hire perform a wide range of genres in an acoustic or unplugged style, including pop, rock, folk, indie, country and classic hits. The acoustic format gives songs a more intimate and relaxed feel, making it a versatile choice for many types of events.

Common events for acoustic bands include weddings, drinks receptions, garden parties, intimate corporate events, restaurants and venues with noise restrictions. The softer acoustic sound allows guests to enjoy live music while still being able to hold conversations.

The acoustic bands on Gig Heaven range from solo acoustic performers and duos up to full acoustic ensembles of four or five musicians. A smaller act suits intimate settings, while a larger group provides a fuller sound. Many acts offer flexible line-up options depending on the event.

Many acoustic bands offer the flexibility to switch between acoustic and amplified sets during an event. This allows the music to start quietly during dinner or drinks and build in energy later in the evening. It is worth discussing this option with the band when making an enquiry.

Some acoustic bands perform entirely unplugged and need no power at all, while others use small amplifiers or microphones that require a standard power outlet. For outdoor events, a portable power source may be needed. It is a good idea to confirm any power requirements with the band before the event.
