Photo of Zarakan Zarakan "Jack at Smiths: Thanks again for the performance last night, it went really well as usual! Cheers for sorting the invoice so promptly. Speak soon. Cheers, Jack" Based in Bourne, England (35 miles from Nottingham) 2nd December 2025 Jack Smith - Redcat Pubs Venue in Lincolnshire Photo of One Eyed Cats One Eyed Cats "So, according to the One Eyed Cats website they are a … High-octane rock & roll, cool blues, jumping rhythm, driving rock or a hair-down sing-along, the Cats always deliver. And deliver incredibly well. Their large line up is suited to their huge sound, with a fiery brass section, rocking guitar and rolling piano. Their music is always lively, passionate and entertaining. They always aim to lift the roof off, rock socks off and leave everybody fully entertained – having had a good laugh, boogie and night. All with immense enthusiasm, fine humour and unquestionable musicianship. As cheesy as it might sound, I have to agree! I was at a gig last week in the Brewery Tap, Peterborough, a very popular and well established pub, Thai restaurant and micro brewery, if you’ve never been before then make sure you go because if you like a quiet pub there’s a spot in a corner for you (they have good beer) and if you like it louder then there’s loads of different DJ nights, soul music, bands, a Prince tribute night is coming soon and tomorrow they have The Peterborough Big Band. So back to the gig, It was a Thursday of a bank holiday weekend no less, so it was bound to not be a normal Thursday night! The crowd had had food, were drinking after work, any band would do well but the Cats brought a little something different tonight, they have many years of gigging experience behind them and they turned up, plugged in and rocked the place! The Cats filled the dance floor and by end of the night left everyone wanting more. All the band are brilliant musicians, you definitely wont see any backing tracks here, they seemed to enjoy the night as much as the crowd so if you want a good night out go find the Cats and bring your friends!" Based in Peterborough, England (46 miles from Nottingham) Lucy - Brewery Tap, Peterborough Photo of Cooper and the Makerfields Cooper and the Makerfields "I have seen Cooper and the Makerfields numerous times now. They are a fantastic well established blues/jazz/roots band. They have completed many local venues, and this summer have played at four festivals. They also have played for a number of charities without taking payment. Lovely guys. They never fail to be asked to play an encore. No venue is too big, or too small. The band adapts to the venues needs." Based in Manchester, England (58 miles from Nottingham) Karen Jones - Festival Photo of Corduroy Moustache Corduroy Moustache "We had booked Oliver and Tommy to play at our wedding, to help fill the time after the ceremony and to entertain our guests. Our day was planned to be a relaxed, chilled day and Corduroy Moustache certainly helped to create exactly that for us. Music was wonderful, exactly what we had asked for and we’ve had plenty of comments from guests saying just how fab they thought the music was. We couldn’t have asked for anything better to compliment our day. Would definitely highly recommend!" Based in Manchester, England (58 miles from Nottingham) Nicola Longshaw - Wedding Drinks Reception Photo of Groove Dynamite Groove Dynamite "An absolute dream, I couldn't have imagined a better band to open up our dancefloor! You guys are just amazing and learning the first dance song and then playing my favourite song as a surprise was just magical!" Based in Shrewsbury, England (69 miles from Nottingham) 14th January 2026 Sydnee Stone - Wedding Photo of Evil Badger Evil Badger "Absolutely superb band. Lead singer is one of the most talented entertainers I’ve seen in a very long time. Crowd didn’t want them to stop. Five stars. 10/10." Frequently asked questions

Hiring blues bands typically costs between £110 and £1,550+, with an average of £420. The price varies based on band size, set length and the musicians' experience. Blues bands range from lean trios to larger outfits with horn sections, and line-up size is usually the main cost factor.

The blues bands for hire cover a wide range of blues styles including Chicago blues, Delta blues, blues rock, soul blues and modern electric blues. Many bands also incorporate elements of rock, funk and soul into their sets. It is worth listening to audio samples on each band's profile to find the right style for your event.

Events that commonly feature blues bands include pub and bar events, private parties, weddings, corporate functions, festivals and club nights. Blues music creates a soulful, energetic atmosphere and works well for events where guests want to listen, dance or both.

A typical booking for blues bands covers two to three hours, usually split into sets with breaks. Blues performances often feature extended improvisations and guest solos, so set lengths can vary depending on the style and line-up of the band. It is advisable to discuss the preferred format when making an enquiry.

Most blues bands are self-contained and provide their own instruments, amplifiers and PA system. For larger venues or outdoor events, additional sound equipment may be required. It is a good idea to confirm equipment details with the band before booking.
