Photo of Zarakan Zarakan "Jack at Smiths: Thanks again for the performance last night, it went really well as usual! Cheers for sorting the invoice so promptly. Speak soon. Cheers, Jack" Based in Bourne, England 2nd December 2025 Jack Smith - Redcat Pubs Venue in Lincolnshire Photo of One Eyed Cats One Eyed Cats "So, according to the One Eyed Cats website they are a … High-octane rock & roll, cool blues, jumping rhythm, driving rock or a hair-down sing-along, the Cats always deliver. And deliver incredibly well. Their large line up is suited to their huge sound, with a fiery brass section, rocking guitar and rolling piano. Their music is always lively, passionate and entertaining. They always aim to lift the roof off, rock socks off and leave everybody fully entertained – having had a good laugh, boogie and night. All with immense enthusiasm, fine humour and unquestionable musicianship. As cheesy as it might sound, I have to agree! I was at a gig last week in the Brewery Tap, Peterborough, a very popular and well established pub, Thai restaurant and micro brewery, if you’ve never been before then make sure you go because if you like a quiet pub there’s a spot in a corner for you (they have good beer) and if you like it louder then there’s loads of different DJ nights, soul music, bands, a Prince tribute night is coming soon and tomorrow they have The Peterborough Big Band. So back to the gig, It was a Thursday of a bank holiday weekend no less, so it was bound to not be a normal Thursday night! The crowd had had food, were drinking after work, any band would do well but the Cats brought a little something different tonight, they have many years of gigging experience behind them and they turned up, plugged in and rocked the place! The Cats filled the dance floor and by end of the night left everyone wanting more. All the band are brilliant musicians, you definitely wont see any backing tracks here, they seemed to enjoy the night as much as the crowd so if you want a good night out go find the Cats and bring your friends!" Based in Peterborough, England Lucy - Brewery Tap, Peterborough Photo of Biker Band Biker Band "The Kings’ regulars are probably the luckiest people in Lincolnshire, maybe even the East Midlands! Not only do they have fabulous hosts in Richard and Sharon, they also provide the best music free of charge every weekend and they don’t come much better than the Bikers Band wherever you may go. Quiet and staid does not exist in their vocabulary, Mister-Pink is power funk, rock and blues at its very best covering the likes of Cream, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones but also mixing in their own songs in a seamless blend of quality entertainment. I asked Simon for his set list after the gig and do you know what the response was? “What set list? We just play what the audience like!” Believe me there are not many bands that can make such a confident statement. How many encores did we have? I lost count, the holiday weekend busy bar wanted more so The Bikers Band duly provided. Of course we must not forget the superb bass playing of Jules and Balding Bloke was in his element sound engineering when the drummer let rip with a storming drum solo. I don’t know what they feed them on in Norfolk however it seems to be an excellent diet for drummers! Now here’s a teaser for you…whilst we were clearing up afterwards I happened to mention that he’d forgotten to use his harmonica. That was it, straight to his kit and “Not Fade Away” commenced, The bassist struck up his acoustic guitar and the remaining customers and bar staff all immediately broke into song…Most likely we won’t see these guys again until next year, that’s going to be an awful long wait for many of us! ~ gig reviewer - Lincolnshire Press" Based in Norwich, England John Blading - Music Venue Photo of Cooper and the Makerfields Cooper and the Makerfields "I have seen Cooper and the Makerfields numerous times now. They are a fantastic well established blues/jazz/roots band. They have completed many local venues, and this summer have played at four festivals. They also have played for a number of charities without taking payment. Lovely guys. They never fail to be asked to play an encore. No venue is too big, or too small. The band adapts to the venues needs." Based in Manchester, England Karen Jones - Festival Photo of Corduroy Moustache Corduroy Moustache "We had booked Oliver and Tommy to play at our wedding, to help fill the time after the ceremony and to entertain our guests. Our day was planned to be a relaxed, chilled day and Corduroy Moustache certainly helped to create exactly that for us. Music was wonderful, exactly what we had asked for and we’ve had plenty of comments from guests saying just how fab they thought the music was. We couldn’t have asked for anything better to compliment our day. Would definitely highly recommend!" Based in Manchester, England Nicola Longshaw - Wedding Drinks Reception Photo of Soul75 Soul75 "The band had great chemistry on stage and performed each song to a high level. The singers in particular were great, especially at getting the crowd going and getting people up on the dancefloor." Based in Hemel Hempstead, England Chloe - Company party

Frequently asked questions

Hiring blues bands typically costs between £110 and £1,500+, with an average of £420. The price varies based on band size, set length and the musicians' experience. Blues bands range from lean trios to larger outfits with horn sections, and line-up size is usually the main cost factor.

The blues bands for hire cover a wide range of blues styles including Chicago blues, Delta blues, blues rock, soul blues and modern electric blues. Many bands also incorporate elements of rock, funk and soul into their sets. It is worth listening to audio samples on each band's profile to find the right style for your event.

Events that commonly feature blues bands include pub and bar events, private parties, weddings, corporate functions, festivals and club nights. Blues music creates a soulful, energetic atmosphere and works well for events where guests want to listen, dance or both.

A typical booking for blues bands covers two to three hours, usually split into sets with breaks. Blues performances often feature extended improvisations and guest solos, so set lengths can vary depending on the style and line-up of the band. It is advisable to discuss the preferred format when making an enquiry.

Most blues bands are self-contained and provide their own instruments, amplifiers and PA system. For larger venues or outdoor events, additional sound equipment may be required. It is a good idea to confirm equipment details with the band before booking.
