Most of what decides whether a booking runs smoothly is settled before the band arrives, and it depends on the room. Venues in Monaco range from function suites with a house PA and a fixed curfew to marquees and outdoor terraces where everything has to be carried in, and the same five-piece behaves quite differently in each.
A four or five-piece needs roughly 4 by 3 metres of flat, dry floor, more once a drum riser or a brass section is involved, plus two or three power sockets within reach of the stage area. Check the load-in route early, because stairs, a long carry from the car park, or a lift too small for a bass cabinet all add time, and some acts charge for it. Ask about a sound limiter before you commit to anything: a limiter set low will cut the power mid-song, and there is no way around it once you are there. Curfews work the same way, since an 11pm finish moves the whole running order earlier than most people expect.
Saturdays in peak season and the whole of December go first, often a year out, so the band you want can end up fixing your date rather than the other way round. Distance shows up on a quote as travel, and occasionally as accommodation when the finish time makes the drive home impractical. Friday and Sunday bookings widen the field considerably if the date is flexible. Ask what the travel figure covers, since some acts price it into the fee within a set radius and charge separately beyond it.
Most bookings in Monaco come in around €850 for two live sets, with duos and trios below that and larger lineups with brass or extra vocalists above it. What varies more than the headline figure is what sits inside it. Check what the quote covers: travel, a DJ set or playlist between sets, and how long the band plays in total rather than how many sets they perform. Most acts take a deposit to hold the date with the balance due close to the event, and overtime is normally charged in half-hour blocks, so agree the finish time in writing rather than on the night.
The average price is €850 (EUR), with most priced from €170 to €3,000+. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Call me Winston - The Tarantino tribute
"The effectiveness of music in Quentin Tarantino's five films has much to do with the way he perceives music. Tarantino thinks that songs in general function as miniature films.
He views music as a way to extend the plots of his films. The soundtrack has the responsibility not only of setting the tone of the scene, but also of bringing clarity to emotions that are not fully expressed by the characters.
All of this works seamlessly because Tarantino hears the song first, then writes a scene around it. It is therefore not surprising that music has such a remarkable impact in his films.
How does music affect the way we perceive Tarantino's films? It is true that all music will make the viewer react emotionally, but what matters to Tarantino is that, most of the time, music produces what he perceives as the "appropriate" emotional impact on a scene. For example, if something other than "Stuck in the Middle With You" had been chosen to accompany the "ear cutting" scene in Reservoir Dogs, the audience might never have known about Mr Blonde's sadistic tendencies.
The key to Tarantino's success in avoiding music perceived as just "adequate" is that he writes all his film scripts with specific music in mind. By being determined in his selection, Tarantino ensures that the music of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol.1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 plays an active role in the narrative structure of the film and, equally important, that it does something the audience will want to remember.
These are the memories that the members of Call me Winston wish to bring back to the viewer.
This "tribute band" orchestra newly created on the Côte d'Azur is unique in the South Region. With its 10 members, (singer, female singer, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keyboards trumpet, alto saxophone, baritone saxophone), it will remind you of the best moments from Tarantino films through their soundtrack."
Acoustic Coverband Gold Collective
"We booked Gold Collective for our wedding in Amsterdam where we had to keep the volume down, but we still wanted people dancing—and they made it happen! Everyone loved the cajón player; his beats brought so much energy and got everyone moving.
Sorry we didn’t get to say goodbye properly—we were still busy chatting with guests who kept telling us what a great party it was! We’re looking through the photos now and smiling all over again. Thank you for such a brilliant evening!"
