A guide to booking

Hire Cover Bands in Monaco

Most of what decides whether a booking runs smoothly is settled before the band arrives, and it depends on the room. Venues in Monaco range from function suites with a house PA and a fixed curfew to marquees and outdoor terraces where everything has to be carried in, and the same five-piece behaves quite differently in each.

What the Venue Needs to Provide

A four or five-piece needs roughly 4 by 3 metres of flat, dry floor, more once a drum riser or a brass section is involved, plus two or three power sockets within reach of the stage area. Check the load-in route early, because stairs, a long carry from the car park, or a lift too small for a bass cabinet all add time, and some acts charge for it. Ask about a sound limiter before you commit to anything: a limiter set low will cut the power mid-song, and there is no way around it once you are there. Curfews work the same way, since an 11pm finish moves the whole running order earlier than most people expect.

Dates, Travel and Availability

Saturdays in peak season and the whole of December go first, often a year out, so the band you want can end up fixing your date rather than the other way round. Distance shows up on a quote as travel, and occasionally as accommodation when the finish time makes the drive home impractical. Friday and Sunday bookings widen the field considerably if the date is flexible. Ask what the travel figure covers, since some acts price it into the fee within a set radius and charge separately beyond it.

How Much a Cover Band Costs in Monaco

Most bookings in Monaco come in around €850 for two live sets, with duos and trios below that and larger lineups with brass or extra vocalists above it. What varies more than the headline figure is what sits inside it. Check what the quote covers: travel, a DJ set or playlist between sets, and how long the band plays in total rather than how many sets they perform. Most acts take a deposit to hold the date with the balance due close to the event, and overtime is normally charged in half-hour blocks, so agree the finish time in writing rather than on the night.

You make our wedding perfect" Based in Monaco, Commune de Monaco 16th April 2026 Marie Gabriela - Wedding Photo of Sonny Riviera & Party Band Sonny Riviera & Party Band "Amazing! Sonny is a guarantee of success! An excellent band with fantastic music—they fulfilled all our wishes and, most importantly, made sure we had an incredible time. Highly recommended!" Based in Monte Carlo, Commune de Monaco Arianna - Cocktail Welcome party Photo of Call me Winston - The Tarantino tribute Call me Winston - The Tarantino tribute "The effectiveness of music in Quentin Tarantino's five films has much to do with the way he perceives music. Tarantino thinks that songs in general function as miniature films. He views music as a way to extend the plots of his films. The soundtrack has the responsibility not only of setting the tone of the scene, but also of bringing clarity to emotions that are not fully expressed by the characters. All of this works seamlessly because Tarantino hears the song first, then writes a scene around it. It is therefore not surprising that music has such a remarkable impact in his films. How does music affect the way we perceive Tarantino's films? It is true that all music will make the viewer react emotionally, but what matters to Tarantino is that, most of the time, music produces what he perceives as the "appropriate" emotional impact on a scene. For example, if something other than "Stuck in the Middle With You" had been chosen to accompany the "ear cutting" scene in Reservoir Dogs, the audience might never have known about Mr Blonde's sadistic tendencies. The key to Tarantino's success in avoiding music perceived as just "adequate" is that he writes all his film scripts with specific music in mind. By being determined in his selection, Tarantino ensures that the music of Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Kill Bill Vol.1 and Kill Bill Vol. 2 plays an active role in the narrative structure of the film and, equally important, that it does something the audience will want to remember. These are the memories that the members of Call me Winston wish to bring back to the viewer. This "tribute band" orchestra newly created on the Côte d'Azur is unique in the South Region. With its 10 members, (singer, female singer, guitar, bass, drums, percussion, keyboards trumpet, alto saxophone, baritone saxophone), it will remind you of the best moments from Tarantino films through their soundtrack." Translated from French Based in Monte Carlo, Commune de Monaco Chris Anderson Photo of Jokebox Jokebox "For our intimate wedding of 32 guests, Jokebox Band played at our ceremony and our reception. And what can we say: They exceeded any expectations we had by far. From the heartfelt acoustics in the church, that moved everyone to tears and blended seamlessly into our ceremony to the very fast transition into the garden into the full set band that brought the vibes, everything was perfect. The repertoire was fantastic to go all afternoon, blending jazz vibes and songs for everyone to dance to. When they played narcotic as the grand finale of their set, every single one of our guests was going all in and dancing like it was midnight at around 18:30. They really brought the party to our beautiful reception. Additionally, as regards organization: They were super professional, extremely responsive and completely self-sufficient. We did not have to organize a single thing on the day of and just knew everything would work seamlessly with them. We cannot recommend them enough!" We initially wanted a song or two and some photos, but he told us about his 30 minute wedding show and he really rocked the house. He did a great job at having me and my bride still being the center of it all, but brought the energy we wanted to get everyone on the dance floor. It's been about 3 weeks now, and our family and friends are still raving about what a great job he did and how much fun they had dancing with The King! Steve is a THE answer for your Las Vegas Elvis appearance!" Nerina’s voice was exceptional and truly touched our hearts. Her beautiful singing, accompanied by Juan’s gentle sound of the guitar, created such a warm and special atmosphere at our wedding. The highlight for us was the beautiful, personalised song they performed especially for our son and daughter-in-law. It was such a meaningful and emotional moment that we will treasure forever. Thank you, Nerina and Juan, for creating such a magical memory for our family. Your talent and passion were extraordinary, and we couldn’t recommend you highly enough! ❤️" Based in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa 11th October 2026 Maria Ribeiro - Wedding

Frequently asked questions

The average cost of hiring cover bands is €850, with prices from €170 to €3,050+. Pricing is mainly driven by the number of band members, performance duration and whether the band supplies its own sound and lighting equipment. Cover bands range from small acoustic acts to large party bands, so the line-up and production level have the biggest impact on cost.

Hiring cover bands is one of the most popular entertainment choices for weddings, corporate events, birthday parties, festivals and private celebrations. A good cover band plays recognisable songs that get guests singing and dancing, making them a reliable option for events where a full dance floor is the goal.

Standard performance times for cover bands are two to three hours, usually split into two or three sets. Many function bands offer DJ or background music services between sets, and some can extend their evening with additional acoustic or DJ-only slots. Performance formats can usually be adjusted to fit the event schedule.

Most cover bands are self-contained and provide their own PA system, instruments, amplifiers and stage lighting for standard event venues. For larger spaces or outdoor events, additional equipment may be required. It is a good idea to confirm all technical and staging details with the band before booking.

The cover bands in Monaco cover a huge range of genres including pop, rock, soul, funk, disco, indie, hip hop and current chart hits. Many cover bands specialise in a particular era or style, while others offer a broad mix designed to appeal to all ages and tastes. Browsing band profiles on Gig Heaven is the best way to find the right musical fit.

Many cover bands are happy to learn a specific song for a first dance or other special moment. To get the best results, make this request as early as possible, as some songs require additional rehearsal. Most bands will learn at least one special request at no extra charge.
