The family entertainers include a wide range of acts suitable for all ages, such as magicians, puppet shows, circus performers, balloon artists, interactive game shows, face painters, stilt walkers and character appearances. Many acts combine several elements for a complete family show.

Hiring family entertainment is ideal for community events, school fairs, corporate family days, festivals, charity events, weddings and private celebrations where guests include both children and adults. The best family entertainers engage all age groups with a mix of comedy, magic, music and interactive games.

The best family entertainers are skilled at engaging audiences of all ages simultaneously. Many family entertainers use humour, interaction and varied pacing to keep both children and adults entertained throughout the performance. To get the best results, check each performer's profile for their approach.

Most family entertainers bring everything they need for their performance. Requirements vary by act type, but performers will typically confirm any venue needs such as space, power supply or shelter. It is advisable to discuss setup requirements when making an enquiry.

Both are common. Shorter bookings are usually priced by the hour or per show, while a full family day is more often quoted as a package covering several acts or a longer run. A package tends to work out better where the event runs across an afternoon.

A close-up or table-based act needs very little, while a stage show, inflatable or workshop-style activity needs a clear area and good headroom. Outdoor bookings usually need level ground and a plan for wet weather. Giving the performer the room dimensions when enquiring avoids a surprise on the day.

Some acts perform a set show of 30 to 45 minutes, while others provide continuous activities across several hours. Longer bookings often include a mix, with a headline show and drop-in activities either side. Confirming the running order early lets the performer plan breaks sensibly.
