Guitar players mostly quote per set rather than per hour, with rates in Bergamo starting from about €110 for a single instrumental set, typical bookings around €350 and singer-guitarists bringing their own PA reaching €1,000+. Longer performances, weekend and peak-season dates, and sets that include vocals all push quotes up. When comparing quotes, check what each includes: amplification, travel and time to learn requested songs are sometimes itemised separately. Booking ceremony and reception music with the same performer often costs less than hiring two separate acts. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

Photo of Dagmar & Jacopo (Swing and Jazz Duo) Dagmar & Jacopo (Swing and Jazz Duo) "Fae & Sebastian H. - Per Dagmar & Jacopo - Jazz & Swing Duo 27/08/2026, Wedding Dagmar and Jacopo were truly the voice and soul of our wedding. We booked the duo to accompany the most special moments of our ceremony and aperitivo, and they made both absolutely unforgettable. Dagmar (fluent in so many languages, including the ones that were most important to us: German, English, Italian, and Spanish) enchanted everyone with her beautiful voice while also excelling in her role as our MC. From beginning to end, the collaboration felt warm, personal, and completely on equal footing, while always remaining highly professional. Their beautiful interpretations of songs that hold a very special place in our hearts made some of the most meaningful moments of our wedding even more memorable. And one moment we will definitely never forget: during our ceremony, one of the rings went missing. While everyone embarked on a scavenger hunt across the 2ha garden of the villa, Dagmar and Jacopo reacted quickly & kept playing.. providing the perfect soundtrack and turning this moment into one of the funniest and coolest experiences of the entire day. (Yes, we eventually found the ring! 😊) Thank you, Dagmar and Jacopo, for bringing so much heart, joy, and beautiful music to our wedding. We couldn’t have imagined it without you." The melodies did not take the center stage, providing the perfect background, just as we had requested. A wonderful evening. Thank you, Romeo!" Based in Milan, Lombardy (28 miles from Bergamo) Srrgio & Marisa - Wedding Photo of Duo Vaires Duo Vaires "Duo Vaires was honored to provide live music for a special Kiwanis Club event. We designed an elegant program blending timeless classical pieces with refined jazz standards, creating a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere for the members and guests. It was a pleasure to collaborate with such a distinguished organization" Based in Lugano, Canton Ticino, Switzerland (40 miles from Bergamo) 28th August 2026 Kiwanis Club - Private Gala Photo of Matteo Murari Matteo Murari "I would recommend Matteo over and over again to anyone who is interested in hiring a guitarist for their wedding or event! Matteo was not only an absolute pleasure to work with, he also is incredibly talented and a gifted muscian who far exceeded our expectations for music for our wedding. We were able to communicate easily in English (though I promise I am learning Italian, Matteo!) and across international time zones (between Italy and the USA). Matteo offered a fair price, learned music that we had requested for the ceremony and aperitivo, and, in addition to playing lovely music during the dinner, performed two classical pieces that were a highlight for us and for our guests. Matteo is a gem, and I would not think twice about hiring him if you appreciate the gift of music!" Based in Verona, Veneto (66 miles from Bergamo) 18th June 2026 Molly Mathes & Nate Campanile - Wedding Photo of Moon and Silver Duo Moon and Silver Duo "We had the immense pleasure of having Angelo and Francesca ("Moon and Silver") perform at our wedding in Tuscany this June, and they were simply wonderful. Their performance during our ceremony in the Duomo di Pienza was truly mesmerizing and created a truly unforgettable atmosphere. They also provided the perfect musical backdrop for our afternoon coffee and cocktail reception; elegant, relaxed, and never overpowering. Beyond their outstanding musical skill, they were kind, professional, and a pleasure to work with throughout. We couldn't recommend them more highly to anyone looking for beautiful live music for a wedding or special event. Grazie, grazie, grazie mille!" Based in Alessandria, Piedmont (75 miles from Bergamo) 16th July 2026 Frederik & Julia - Wedding

Frequently asked questions

The average price for guitarists on Gig Heaven is €350, with rates ranging from €110 to €1,000+. Cost depends on performance duration, the guitarist's experience and whether the booking is for background music or a full live set. Guitarists on the platform cover a wide range of styles including classical, jazz, blues, rock, flamenco and pop.

The guitarists for hire cover a huge range of styles including classical, jazz, blues, flamenco, rock, pop, folk, fingerstyle and acoustic covers. Many guitarists are versatile performers who can switch between styles during an event to suit different moments.

Popular occasions for hiring guitarists include wedding ceremonies, drinks receptions, corporate dinners, private parties, restaurant entertainment and ambient background music. A solo guitarist provides versatile, elegant live music that suits both intimate and larger settings.

Most guitarists are happy to learn specific songs for key moments such as a ceremony entrance or first dance. Many have extensive repertoires covering popular songs, classical pieces and jazz standards. It is advisable to discuss song requests with the guitarist well in advance.

Many guitarists on Gig Heaven play both electric and acoustic guitar and can choose the instrument that best suits the event. Acoustic guitar provides a warm, intimate sound for ceremonies and dining, while electric guitar is better for rock, blues and higher-energy performances.

For small, quiet settings, many guitarists can perform acoustically. For larger venues, outdoor events or noisier environments, a small amplifier or PA system is usually needed. Most guitarists bring their own amplification. For the best experience, discuss the venue size with the performer.

One player can usually cover the whole day, moving from processional and signing music during the ceremony to background playing over drinks and dinner. Timings are agreed in advance, since the ceremony music has fixed cues while the reception is more flexible. Where the ceremony and the reception are in different spaces, allow time to move and set up between them.

Most bookings run to two or three hours of playing time, split into sets with breaks, though the total time on site is longer once setup and soundcheck are added. Shorter ceremony-only bookings of around 40 minutes are common and are priced differently. Ask for playing time rather than hours on site, as the two are not the same.

Outdoor playing is common for ceremonies and garden receptions, and most players are happy to do it given shade and a level surface. Direct sun and damp both affect a wooden instrument, so a covered area is worth arranging even in settled weather. Wind carries sound away quickly, so amplification is usually needed outdoors even for a small number of guests.
