Live jazz groups bring a polished, adaptable sound to weddings and events near you. These professional musicians handle everything from soft background music during dinner to high-energy dance sets, adjusting their repertoire and volume to suit your venue and occasion. Most jazz acts offer flexible lineup sizes, so a trio that plays your cocktail hour can expand to a quintet or larger group for the evening.
The most popular format is a three or four-piece jazz group for wedding receptions and corporate functions, with a classic combination of piano or guitar, bass, drums and sometimes saxophone or vocals. Smaller duos work well for ceremonies and intimate settings, while larger ensembles with brass and dedicated vocalists suit bigger venues and dance-focused events. Many jazz musicians locally also offer themed sets, including 1920s Gatsby-era jazz, bossa nova, and modern pop songs rearranged in a swing style.
Jazz bands in Upper Austria currently range from €170 for smaller ensembles to €2,000+ for larger groups or extended performances, with an average booking cost of €600. Price typically reflects the number of musicians, set length, travel requirements, and any custom arrangements. Trios and quartets offer good value for most events, while full big band setups command a higher fee but deliver a richer, more dynamic sound.

Julia Hornung & Collectif Django
"A wonderful performance that truly elevated our event. The band brought a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe, and many guests commented on how much they enjoyed the music. We would highly recommend them; super reliable, communicative and kind :)"
MartinaMusic
"Dear Martina,
not only we, but surely also all the guests, even the waiters swayed and sang along, and finally also the innkeeper, Mr. Wagner were enthusiastic about your colorful music selection. Above all, you Martina created a great atmosphere with your engaged walk through the room. You also came across as super pleasant and likeable.
You have sustainably brought your musical qualities in singing and instrumental into all of our ears and memories. The possibility is not so small that we will meet again at some point at a celebration, perhaps at one of our many friends' or my own.
Also impressive was the reliability in advance of our "negotiations". Prompt answers to our inquiries and follow-up questions were a given and it didn't take long before a certain familiarity even developed. You could tell from every interaction that you were really looking forward to our celebration yourselves and we all felt it 🤩
