Live jazz groups bring a polished, adaptable sound to weddings and events near you. These professional musicians handle everything from soft background music during dinner to high-energy dance sets, adjusting their repertoire and volume to suit your venue and occasion. Most jazz acts offer flexible lineup sizes, so a trio that plays your cocktail hour can expand to a quintet or larger group for the evening.
The most popular format is a three or four-piece jazz group for wedding receptions and corporate functions, with a classic combination of piano or guitar, bass, drums and sometimes saxophone or vocals. Smaller duos work well for ceremonies and intimate settings, while larger ensembles with brass and dedicated vocalists suit bigger venues and dance-focused events. Many jazz musicians locally also offer themed sets, including 1920s Gatsby-era jazz, bossa nova, and modern pop songs rearranged in a swing style.
Jazz bands in Bohinj currently range from €170 for smaller ensembles to €2,000+ for larger groups or extended performances, with an average booking cost of €600. Price typically reflects the number of musicians, set length, travel requirements, and any custom arrangements. Trios and quartets offer good value for most events, while full big band setups command a higher fee but deliver a richer, more dynamic sound.

The Swing Lane
"We found Simone an absolute pleasure to deal with from start to finish. The band accommodated our requests beautifully, performing them to perfection. Professional, friendly, and truly talented musicians with stunning vocals, they created the perfect ambiance for our afternoon and kept everyone dancing well into the night. They made our day incredibly special, and we cannot recommend them highly enough—we’ll be forever grateful."
Sara Longo, jazz singer, jazz band.
"Sara Longo has been recommended from a friend, who is a booking agent in jazz festivals. She has a descrete caracter but what a voice!! Always ready to help, she is stunningly professional in the choice of her musicians and of her repertoire. She ends up making everybody happy, but can also move the crown with those wonderful Napolitan ballads. I want more!!!!"
Jokebox
"We found JokeBox Quartet through our Wedding Planner and we really must say that they couldn't have proposed anything better to us, we were truly happy, they are very skilled guys and very available.
Despite the weather, which wasn't really on our side, with extreme heat, waterspouts and hail, the band always found a way to continue playing by moving seamlessly between the inside and outside of the villa.
The repertoire then ranges from Italian classics to more modern pop.
We can only recommend JokeBox Quartet to anyone.
Thank you so much guys, you were fantastic❤️"
Jet Lag Band
"We couldn’t have asked for a better band for our wedding!
On Friday, Antonio joined us as a saxophone player and immediately created an amazing atmosphere. On Saturday, the band performed in different combinations throughout the day — for our ceremony, aperitivo, and the party — and they were absolutely fantastic at every stage.
The music was incredible, the atmosphere was amazing, and they really knew how to get everyone in the mood to celebrate. We especially appreciated how flexible, professional, and helpful they were throughout the entire wedding. They adapted perfectly to the different moments of the day and made everything feel effortless.
We received so many compliments from our guests about the music. We would highly recommend this band to anyone looking for talented musicians who bring great energy and make your wedding truly special!"
Hot Club du Nax
"The Hot Club du Nax played at our Zug Jazz Night this summer and they where truly amazing, great people and superb musicians. Hope to see you soon again!

Double Soul
"We honestly couldn't have asked for a better band. From the planning stages, Sam was fantastic to work with—responsive, accommodating, collaborative, and genuinely enthusiastic about helping create exactly the atmosphere we wanted. What impressed us most was their willingness to make our wedding uniquely ours. They learned multiple songs especially for us that weren't even part of their normal repertoire, including our first dance. Hearing them perform it live was one of the most emotional moments of the entire day, and we're not sure we'll ever be able to hear that song again without thinking of their incredible performance. On top of that, they were unbelievably flexible with our venue setup. Rather than simply performing in one place, they generously performed across two separate locations, requiring them to pack down, move, and completely reset all of their equipment just so our vision could come to life seamlessly. They made what could have been a logistical headache look completely effortless. Sam, Flip and Marina's talent and energy were exceptional, creating the perfect soundtrack to our cocktail hour and first dance and leaving such a lasting impression on us and our guests. Thank you for helping us create a memory that we will treasure forever."
