Rates for saxophonists in Lewes run from £120 to £850+, with typical bookings around £340. Check what the figure covers before comparing quotes: PA and setup are usually included, travel may or may not be, and an overtime rate for running past the agreed finish is worth agreeing in writing rather than on the night. Most acts take a deposit to hold the date, with the balance due close to the event, and short notice tends to cost more rather than less, since a free Saturday in peak season is a date someone else has already turned down. Kit Packham
"Kit was booked to perform at a adult / children’s party.
Kit was excellent and managed to blend the first set into an entertaining piece for the adults and kids.
To a second set which was a perfect piece for a transition and background piece while w rate food and the kids relaxed.
The third set was much more upbeat, grey for the adult entertainment and brought an excitement to the evening.
I would not think twice about hiring Kit again. He manage our requirements perfectly , by listening to what we required and delivering on every request.
The feedback from all our guests was exceptional!
Thank you Kit and hopefully we will see you at the next event.

"Dirk was fabulous! From the moment we contacted him he couldn’t have been more helpful. It was fairly short notice but lucky for us Dirk was available. The communication was excellent including warning us about traffic problems that could have caused our guests a problem. I really stage know what to expect but Dirk exceeded our expectations and all the guests loved his set. It was a perfect mix of songs and really set the right tone. Thank you so much for making our daughters wedding extra special!"
The Cheers
"We booked the Cheers Band for our wedding in Bentley on 12 September 2026, and we honestly couldn’t have made a better choice.
The communication throughout was absolutely spot on. We had the saxophone and acoustic guitar playing during our drinks reception, and everyone was so impressed — it created such a lovely atmosphere.
Later in the evening, the band performed as a six-piece, and they certainly got everyone up on the dancefloor! The energy was fantastic, and they really helped make our wedding evening so memorable.
We can’t thank Ben and the whole band enough for everything. They were brilliant from start to finish, and we would highly recommend the Cheers Band to anyone looking for an amazing wedding/function band!
