Singing Pianists for Hire in Kitchener

Q: How much do singing pianists cost in Kitchener?

The average price for singing pianists on Gig Heaven is $500, with rates from $200 to $1,600+. Cost depends on the performer's experience, set length and whether a suitable piano is available at the venue or a digital instrument needs to be provided. Singing pianists offer a self-contained performance combining live music and vocals, popular for drinks receptions and evening entertainment.

Q: Will a singing pianist perform without amplification?

In a small room the instrument carries well on its own and many performers prefer it that way. Once the space is larger or noisier a small PA is needed for the voice even where the piano is loud enough. Saying how many guests are expected is usually all the performer needs to decide.

Q: Can singing pianists take song requests?

Most singing pianists welcome song requests and many invite guest interaction during their performance. Some offer an online request system before the event. For the best experience, discuss your preferred songs and any must-play or do-not-play lists with the performer.

Q: What events are singing pianists suitable for?

Common events for singing pianists include weddings, corporate events, cocktail receptions, hotel entertainment, private parties and formal dinners. The combination of piano and vocals creates a sophisticated yet engaging atmosphere.

Q: What styles can singing pianists play?

The singing pianists cover a wide range of styles including pop, rock, jazz, soul, Elton John-style piano rock, Billy Joel classics, show tunes and current chart hits. A singing pianist offers a dynamic performance that combines vocal and instrumental talent.

Q: Does a piano vocalist bring their own instrument?

Many singing pianists bring a high-quality digital piano or keyboard. Some may prefer to use an acoustic piano if one is available at the venue. A digital instrument is easily transported and produces excellent sound. Gig Heaven recommends discussing instrument arrangements when making an enquiry.

Q: Does the venue's piano need to be tuned?

Where a house piano is being used rather than an instrument the performer brings, tuning is the venue's responsibility and is worth confirming well ahead. An out-of-tune piano cannot be fixed on the day and usually means falling back on a digital one. Performers ask about the instrument before quoting, since it decides what they need to transport.

Q: Can a singing pianist perform with other musicians?

Adding a rhythm section is a common upgrade and many performers have regular players they work with. Piano and voice stay the core, so the material does not change, only the weight behind it. Ask for the expanded option when enquiring rather than after booking, as availability is the limiting factor.

Q: Can I contact multiple suppliers at the same time?

Yes, either add suppliers to your favourites and contact them all at once, or use the find a supplier wizard .

Q: How far in advance do we need to book?

Booking as early as possible increases the chance of securing your supplier's availability on your event date, particularly during busy times of the year. However, many suppliers also accept last minute bookings, and we have successfully arranged bookings for clients with just a few hours' notice.

Cold Weather Company "I can't say enough wonderful things about Cold Weather Company! Steve was my primary contact and he responded to every email promptly. He answered yes to all requests. The band arrived on time and agreed to stay for a late night acoustic set. They were consummate professionals. The music is why we chose the band, and it was amazing & beautiful to hear live. They were the perfect blend of background music that you really want to stop your conversation to listen to, however their cover of Let It Be was so moving, it silenced the room. We could not have chosen better for our fundraiser, all 150 guests were entertained! We are still hearing rave reviews." They pulled songs out that people requested effortlessly. I just witnessed a 28 year old guy go from singing Merle Haggard, to Guns N’ Roses, to Frank Sinatra. WHAT?!?! Definitely call this guy. You will not be disappointed! Thank you so much Clay for making our event unforgettable" Based in Nashville, Tennessee, United States (602 miles from Kitchener) Joseph Bellinger - Work Party
