String quartets in Sankt Gallen, Canton of St. Gallen, Switzerland perform at weddings, corporate functions, private dinners and formal celebrations across your area. A standard quartet features two violins, a viola and a cello, producing a rich, balanced sound that suits both intimate rooms and larger venues. Most groups offer a mix of classical works, modern pop and rock arrangements, film music and jazz standards, so you can tailor the repertoire to your event.
When hiring a classical quartet near you, expect performances in sets of 45 minutes to one hour with short breaks between. For weddings, many ensembles offer packages covering the ceremony and cocktail hour as a single booking. Quartets bring their own instruments and music stands, but will need a flat area of roughly three by two meters with armless chairs. Discuss any special song requests early, as custom arrangements need preparation time. Some groups near your venue also offer trio or duo configurations for smaller spaces or budgets.

Pricing reflects performance duration, travel distance to your venue, and whether you need custom arrangements of specific songs. Sinfonietta String Quartet
"Booking Stefano and his team was one of our favourite choices of our wedding. They were absolutely phenomenal and exquisite. From the first conversation to the performances on our day, we were blown away with the level of attention to detail, skill, and passion shown by the team. We requested a list of custom songs for our day (most of which were non traditional, akin to a Bridgerton soundtrack per se) and the team performed each of them perfectly throughout the stages of our ceremony and dinner. Just gorgeous. We had guests exclaiming to us how amazing they were. If you’re seeking a high quality, super friendly, reliable, and exceptionally talented string quartet for your event, you have come to the right listing. Thank you so much to you Stefano and team, you made our special day so wonderful. Best wishes, Hayley and Liam"
Matilde Silva
"I just had my small wedding (11 guests) in the Dolomites yesterday, and having Matilde join us for the ceremony was one of the best decisions to make our wedding more meaningful and special. From the beginning, Matilde was very professional and responsive in both Gig Heaven messaging and later with WhatsApp. She was helpful in suggesting playlists for possible songs she could play for our entrances and the vows. The day before our ceremony, the forecast for the next day was afternoon/evening thunderstorms which would have been bad for our outdoor ceremony location, making us change the time of our ceremony from the evening to the morning at the last minute. Matilde was flexible and worked hard to make that last minute change work, and ultimately we were very lucky to be able to keep her with the new ceremony time. Once it was time for the ceremony, her music made the entire experience much more rich and emotional. I was very happy working with Matilde and would highly recommend her!"
Sylvia Catasta
"Heels Belles is the debut album of the D4rky Quartet, an all-female string quartet with flute of Mozartian influence, founded by the composer Sylvia Catasta, conductor and historical assistant of Ezio Bosso, with the collaboration of Saturnino and Alessio Bertallot.
D4arky Quartet is made up of four musicians with a very solid classical training but used to having a complete dialogue with every musical genre: Sylvia Catasta on flute; Silvia Mangiarotti on viola; Adriana Ester Gallo on violin; Yuriko Mikami on cello.
Alessio Bertallot is the vocal featuring on this album who transcribes the great evergreens of international classic rock for quartet, transforming them into a language that lies between cultured song and progressive."
Marco Dal Carlo
"Highlight of the visits to the bar at St Regis. He even agreed graciously to my “encore” request. If we had another day here, we’d be checking out his next show for sure. So so so good!"
Tibi Events Production - Music Planning
"Kevin was absolutely incredible - I can’t recommend him highly enough.
From start to finish, his communication was outstanding. He was thoughtful, responsive, and truly went above and beyond to make the moment perfect. He even picked up flowers and prosecco before we arrived to help keep the moment a surprise and coordinated seamlessly with my photographer so everything came together effortlessly.
As for the music - it was nothing short of beautiful. His playing was masterful and added such a special, emotional layer to the proposal. It genuinely made the moment unforgettable.
Kevin’s attention to detail and care for the experience set him apart. He didn’t just play music, he helped create a memory we’ll cherish forever.
We’ll absolutely be working with him again for our wedding, and I couldn’t recommend him more highly."
