Photo of Catch 22 Catch 22 "Just wanted to say a big thank you for playing at our wedding. You were brilliant, really gave our evening a great atmosphere and all my guests said what a great time they had and what a great band! Really made our wedding day special and some great memories to treasure. Cant thank you or praise you highly enough. I have posted a message on your website recommending you. Not only that but your communication and help before hand was great and much appreciated. I have absolutely no complaints. You were all so professional and friendly. Many Many thanks Marie and Jody Watson" Based in Norwich, England 13th April 2026 Marie and Jody Watson - Catch 22. Photo of Biker Band Biker Band "The Kings’ regulars are probably the luckiest people in Lincolnshire, maybe even the East Midlands! Not only do they have fabulous hosts in Richard and Sharon, they also provide the best music free of charge every weekend and they don’t come much better than the Bikers Band wherever you may go. Quiet and staid does not exist in their vocabulary, Mister-Pink is power funk, rock and blues at its very best covering the likes of Cream, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones but also mixing in their own songs in a seamless blend of quality entertainment. I asked Simon for his set list after the gig and do you know what the response was? “What set list? We just play what the audience like!” Believe me there are not many bands that can make such a confident statement. How many encores did we have? I lost count, the holiday weekend busy bar wanted more so The Bikers Band duly provided. Of course we must not forget the superb bass playing of Jules and Balding Bloke was in his element sound engineering when the drummer let rip with a storming drum solo. I don’t know what they feed them on in Norfolk however it seems to be an excellent diet for drummers! Now here’s a teaser for you…whilst we were clearing up afterwards I happened to mention that he’d forgotten to use his harmonica. That was it, straight to his kit and “Not Fade Away” commenced, The bassist struck up his acoustic guitar and the remaining customers and bar staff all immediately broke into song…Most likely we won’t see these guys again until next year, that’s going to be an awful long wait for many of us! ~ gig reviewer - Lincolnshire Press" Based in Norwich, England John Blading - Music Venue Photo of Collins & Wilson Duo Collins & Wilson Duo "We booked Stacy and Mark to play at a birthday party and we thought they were fantastic. Stacy has an amazing voice, and Mark's guitar playing was great. A fantastic afternoon of singalong/dancing music." Based in Norwich, England Ellie - Birthday Party Photo of The John Preston Tribute Band The John Preston Tribute Band "The grooviest part of Saturday night was the early evening slot from this tight little funky punky power trio.. From New Normal disco with deeply sardonic word play, to the rocktastic vastness of Psychopox. The John Preston Tribute Band blow holes in official and official alternative narratives whilst their grooves and riffs induce altered states to facilitate their propaganda deconstructions.. A must for weddings, corporate do's and dusty festivals..." Based in King's Lynn, England Barney Biggs - The Harlequin Fayre Photo of The Last Broadcast The Last Broadcast "Just had these guys perform at our wedding & they're an absolutely fantastic band, professional, & had great feedback from our guests. Highly recommend & wouldn't hesitate booking them again. Thank you for making our special day complete :)" Based in Lowestoft, England 9th April 2026 Stephani Dashwood - Wedding Photo of Solo or Reggae Band Solo or Reggae Band "Also thanks for a great afternoon at the Bell you and the band were fantastic. Many thanks" Based in Ipswich, England Alan - Harwich Real Ale Festival

Frequently asked questions

The average cost of hiring wedding bands is £750, with prices from £170 to £2,350+. The main pricing factor is the number of musicians in the band, as wedding bands range from compact three-piece acts to large ensembles with brass sections and backing vocalists. Performance duration, whether the band provides music for multiple parts of the day and any extras such as DJ sets or lighting also affect cost.

Most wedding bands perform for two to three hours of evening entertainment, usually split into sets with short breaks. The first set often begins after the meal and speeches, starting with the first dance. Longer or shorter performance times can usually be arranged, and many bands also offer background music or DJ services for earlier parts of the day.

Many wedding bands are happy to learn a specific song, such as a first dance or a song with personal significance. For the best experience, discuss this with the band as early as possible, as some songs may require additional rehearsal time. Most bands will learn at least one special request at no extra charge.

The wedding bands listed on Gig Heaven range from small three or four-piece groups to larger line-ups with brass sections, backing singers and additional musicians. Smaller bands suit intimate venues and lower budgets, while larger ensembles create a bigger sound for grand receptions. Many bands offer flexible line-up options to suit different event sizes and budgets.

Most wedding bands are self-contained and provide their own PA system, microphones and any necessary amplification for standard event venues. For larger spaces or events with over 300 guests, additional sound reinforcement may be needed. It is a good idea to confirm equipment details with the band before booking, especially if the venue has specific noise restrictions or technical requirements.

Most wedding bands cover a wide range of genres, from pop and rock to soul, Motown, indie and current chart hits. Some also offer jazz, swing or acoustic sets for cocktail hours and dinner. Browsing band profiles on Gig Heaven is the best way to check repertoire, and many bands will tailor their setlist to suit the style of your event.
