Gig Heaven holds data about your account so we can run the site, process bookings, and contact you when needed. You have control over most of it. This article covers what we hold, how to change it, and how to remove your account if you want to.
What we store
- Account details: name, email, mobile, home town, account type (customer or supplier).
- Your events and bookings: event details, messages, contracts, payments, reviews.
- Listing content (for suppliers): descriptions, photos, audio, video, prices, availability.
- Technical details: login timestamps, IP addresses for recent logins, browser type. These are used for security and fraud prevention.
- Marketing preferences: whether you've agreed to receive marketing emails, and a record of when you changed it.
Updating your own data
Most of what we hold is editable by you:
- Name, email, mobile, address: Edit contact details.
- Password: Changing your password.
- Marketing preferences: Notifications (Email, Browser & SMS).
- Listing content: directly via the listing editor in My Account.
Deleting your account
You can request account removal at any time. Email admin@gigheaven.com with the subject Remove. We'll delete your account and personal data.
The same is explained at Data deletion instructions (a public page mainly used to satisfy the data-deletion requirements of third-party sign-in providers like Facebook).
For the full how-to (including what happens to listings, messages, and past bookings), see How to remove your account.
Connected accounts
If you signed in with Google, Apple, or Facebook and you want to sever the connection on the provider side:
- Google: Google Account - Security - Your connections to third-party apps & services.
- Apple: Settings - your name - Sign in with Apple - Apps using Apple ID.
- Facebook: Settings - Apps and Websites.
Removing the connection from the provider's side doesn't delete your Gig Heaven account. If you want the account deleted too, email Remove as above.
Cookies
Gig Heaven uses cookies for essential things (sign-in, remembering preferences, cart-like state) and, if you agree, for analytics and marketing. The cookie banner at the bottom of the page lets you change your preferences. You can re-open it at any time from the footer.
