Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

One of the best gigs I’ve ever done was a sunset wedding on a vineyard in Hill Country, Texas. The setting was stunning, and the couple had such a meaningful connection to the music they chose—it felt magical to be part of it. Everyone was relaxed, joyful, and really present in the moment.

What's your favourite type of event?

I absolutely love performing at weddings—there’s nothing more special than being part of such a joyful, once-in-a-lifetime moment. It’s an honor to help create a beautiful atmosphere through music and bring happiness to people as they celebrate a love that will last forever. Making those memories even more meaningful is why I do what I do.

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

I’ve been performing for years, with experience in theater, voiceover, and singing, which gave me a strong foundation in live performance. I started gigging when a friend asked me to sing at a local event, and from there, it snowballed—I realized how much I loved connecting with people through music in real time. Since then, I’ve performed at weddings, private parties, wineries, restaurants, and community events. Each gig has helped shape my style and deepen my love for sharing music with others.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

I’ve been most influenced by artists like Stevie Nicks, Sheryl Crow, and Alanis Morisette—women with soul, storytelling, and strength in their voices. As for the greatest song of all time, that’s tough… but I’d have to say “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac. It’s timeless, emotional, and somehow feels personal to almost everyone who hears it.

How do you tailor your setlist for different types of events (weddings, corporate events, private parties)?

I tailor my setlist by first understanding the vibe and purpose of the event. For weddings, I focus on romantic, timeless songs for the ceremony and upbeat favorites for the reception to get guests singing along and feeling the love. For corporate events, I keep it polished and professional with a mix of familiar classics and modern hits that create an enjoyable atmosphere without overpowering conversation. Private parties allow for more flexibility, so I often blend genres—pop, country, soul, or acoustic favorites—based on the crowd’s energy. I always stay responsive to the room and adjust in real-time to keep the experience personal and memorable.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

My typical setup takes about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the venue and equipment needs. For local gigs, I usually bring my own PA and just need access to one standard power outlet. For out-of-town events, setup times may vary slightly based on travel and whether a PA rental is required.

Performance times are flexible—I can do sets ranging from 1 to 3 hours, with short breaks as needed. I’m happy to tailor the timing and flow to fit the vibe of your event!

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, I'm happy to perform outside as long as there is proper cover or shade to protect my equipment and ensure safe setup. I love outdoor events—they often have a great energy and relaxed vibe!

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I’m happy to work with clients to tailor the setlist to their preferences! I have a broad repertoire covering many genres and popular songs, but I also welcome song requests and can learn special songs for important moments like first dances. My goal is to make the music fit the event perfectly and create the right atmosphere for each client.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Previous clients most commonly describe my performances as engaging, heartfelt, and versatile. They appreciate my ability to connect with the audience, create a warm and inviting atmosphere, and deliver both energetic and intimate moments depending on the event. Many have mentioned that my professionalism and passion really shine through, making their special occasions even more memorable.

Do you have event insurance?

At this time, I do not carry liability insurance personally. However, if a venue requires it, insurance can be arranged and provided by the client upon request. I’m happy to assist with the process to ensure all requirements are met for a smooth event.
