Brandon Kennedy - Celtic Musician
About Brandon
Brandon Kennedy is an accomplished Celtic musician specializing in authentic Irish and Scottish traditional music. A master of Irish fiddle and acoustic guitar with vocals, he creates rich, layered performances using loop pedal technology that allows him to accompany himself seamlessly.
With annual pilgrimages to Ireland, Brandon brings back genuine musical traditions from across the Emerald Isle, having performed in countless pubs and traditional sessions both abroad and throughout the United States. His dedication to authenticity is matched by his formal training—he holds both a B.A. and M.A. in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music.
Brandon comes fully equipped with traditional Scottish Highland attire and period costumes, ready to create the perfect atmosphere for any event. Whether you need him as the centerpiece of your celebration or providing elegant background ambiance, his ultimate goal is to elevate your special occasion.

It depends on the gig and location. Generally I try to keep client requirements to a minimum and just ask for an electrical outlet and provide everything else, but I really need to know about the specific gig in order to be able to minimize that.
size, location, number of attendees (roughly)
Typically yes for sound. Some lighting is available depending on location.
Sure
I love Celtic themed events where I an do more obscure material from the genre. It’s great when venues have their own sound/lighting and festivals typically have great “built in” audiences.
Anything where I can get to authentically connect with people, be it before, during or after the show.
I’ve done hundreds, if not thousands of shows of every kind. Single person concerts, massive festivals, spot light events, pub, vineyards, weddings, funerals, listening rooms, busking, wandering performances, proposals, etc…
Kate Rusby, the Dubliners, Great big sea, Sam Kelly and the lost boys, Alasdaire Fraser, Dervish
Set up, 30 minutes. Varies widely. Anywhere from 30 minutes for a festival set to 4-5 hours of background fiddle music. I've seen/done everything in between.
Yes, no problem. Rain or shine, the show must go on!
Happy to discuss, but would prefer it's done prior to booking to make sure I can deliver on whats desired int he time frame.
Like a warm hug, mysterious, engaging.
