Live wedding bands bring an energy to evening receptions that playlists cannot match. Professional groups near you are experienced at working with local venues, managing sound levels for different room sizes, and keeping guests of all ages dancing. Most acts perform two or three sets of around 45 minutes, with DJ music filling the breaks, and offer extras like acoustic ceremony performances or learning your first dance song.
Start by matching band size to your venue. Duos and trios suit smaller or more intimate spaces, while four to six-piece lineups fill larger reception rooms with a fuller sound. Check demo videos to make sure the band's energy and style match the atmosphere you want. It is also worth asking about the full package: most professional acts include PA equipment, lighting, and MC services as standard, but ceremony music, extended sets, and additional musicians may be priced separately. Bands based near your venue often offer more competitive rates due to lower travel costs.
For Wedding bands in Baltimore, fees run from $220 to $3,400+, with an average cost of $1,050. Band size is the biggest factor in pricing, followed by performance duration and time of year. Peak season dates from late spring through early autumn tend to carry higher rates, while midweek or off-season bookings can stretch your budget further. Ask about package deals if you want ceremony music or a late-night DJ set alongside the main performance.
The average price for Wedding Bands available in Baltimore, Maryland, United States is $1,050 (USD). Above you will also find a budget price and high end price. Contact the supplier you like for an accurate quote.

THE "ORIGINAL" MOONLIGHTERS ®
"We hired the Original Moonlighters for our wedding band, and they were absolutely fantastic! We had a large wedding, with a lot of guests that have different musical tastes, but this band was able to get everyone on the dance floor and brought amazing energy to the wedding. They had a wide set list and made our special day even more fun."

The Devil's Tailors
"The Devil's Tailors were fantastic. They were easy to work with and helped make our wedding event one to remember. They traveled all the way to Arizona from the east coast. I was grateful for their effort and desire to do it at a reasonable price. Everyone loved the bagpipes and the dancing with the fiddle and the piano. They called out the dances while everyone participated and everyone learned how to do them easily. Everyone was anticipating the next number when they could do it again. I definitely recommend using The Devil's Tailors for your next event. If you are thinking about having Scottish dancing at your event, but don't know if it would be fun, I will tell you to book them right now. It is an amazing time. And if you have had Scottish dancing before, The Devil's Tailors will do a wonderful job."
