I have been gigging professionally for nearly 20 years. I started in high school playing background music at a professional conference. Since then I have played private engagements for clients like Translink, Ballet BC, and The Walrus magazine.

My greatest artistic influence is jazz guitar master Peter Bernstein, whom I was lucky enough to study under in 2017. I credit much of my personal musical development to the time I spent studying guitar with him in New York. I think the greatest song of all time is “Wichita Lineman” by Jimmy Webb.

I often arrive an hour before downbeat and perform 2 x 50 minute sets.

If I am protected from the elements, and I am on stable ground then I will play outdoors.

I generally will work within my own personal repertoire of approximately 120 jazz standard tunes.
