We play songs of the '20s, '30s, '40s, and occasionally of later decades. Our core line-up is piano, bass and (lady) singer, although we often add clarinet, or drum-kit, or both, to the mix. Our style is essentially easy-listening, with an emphasis on melody, expression and, one hopes, a foot-tapping rhythm. We are usually asked to provide background music (for 'ambience'!), but we have often played for dancing, and given concerts with a theme in mind - a composer, or a particular era.
