Technical Info

What are your basic technical requirements?

None if I provide my own equipment. Though my equipment is only good for smaller events and venues. Not concerts. If it is a concert, I would require a sound guy and full PA support.

What information do you require about a venue?

If the Venue has a built in PA. Depending on the complexity of the PA. Would likely need a Soundguy. If it is a smaller venue up 300 person compactly. My PA would likely cover it and I would not need a sound guy.

Do you provide sound and lighting equipment?

Yes, for smaller venues like Breweries etc. Up to 300 to 400 person compacity.

Can you provide a Spotify/DJ service before and between your sets?

Yes.

How long does it take you to setup your PA?

Roughly 45 minutes to an hour.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best gig you've ever done and the best venue you've ever worked at?

I played some small festivals and events for Ferrari. I also enjoy play at The Hard Rock Cafes.

What's your favourite type of event?

I love playing all sorts of events. But Breweries and Festivals are my favorite!

What's your previous experience and how did you start gigging?

In 2010 I started playing with some rock bands in my area and touring. I later on broke off solo and starting touring on southern rock/country rock music.

Which artists have you been most influenced by, who is your favourite artist and what is the greatest song of all time?

Hard to answer. But Iam a big fan of Peter Gabriel, Chris Cornell, Neil Young and Seal.

Performance Info

What are your typical setup and performance times?

I normally arrive 1 hour to 2 hours before start time. I setup my PA and do a soundtest. I’ll rest and hydrate then start my set. I normally perform 2 x 60 minute sets or 3 x 45 minute sets.

Are you happy to perform outside?

Yes, depending on the climate and temperature.

Do the clients have a say in what you play or is it a set repertoire list only?

I can learn specific songs before an event if giving enough time. I typically limit this to about 3 to 4 songs. And of course if it is in my range.

How do previous clients most commonly describe your performances?

Strong with a lot of projection.

What type of covers do you perform?

Material ranging from 1950’s - 2000’s. From artist like Wilbert Harrison, Neil Young, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Bob Seager, Oasis, Stone Temple Pilots and more.

Do you play originals? And where can I hear them?

I do mix in Originals with covers and all my music can be found on Spotify under Nick Ray.
