Every couple deserves music that reflects their story, not just background tunes, but something real. As a seasoned wedding guitarist in San Diego County, I create warm, acoustic soundscapes that bring emotion into every moment of your wedding. Whether you’re exchanging vows by the coast or sipping cocktails in a candlelit garden, my guitar fills the space with calm, joy, and connection.
I’ve performed at vineyard ceremonies, estate receptions, and boutique events throughout San Diego. My sound is shaped by decades of experience and an instinct for what fits each setting. No two weddings are the same, and neither is the music I play.
Here’s how I support your day musically:
Whether it’s a timeless ballad, a soulful flamenco, or a reimagined chart hit, I adapt my set list to your style. I play with nuance—not volume—so guests can hear each note and still enjoy conversation.
Here’s what you can expect from my wedding services:
Your choices and the setting affect every event I play. I’ll make sure the music matches your story, whether you’re going down the aisle to a classic song or celebrating with a current one. As a wedding guitarist in San Diego, CA, I’ve played at a lot of different places and for a lot of different themes. I always make sure the music matches the event, not the other way around. When you choose LA Acoustic, you’re not just hiring background sound; you’re getting a musical experience that fits with every aspect of your wedding day.
Hiring a wedding guitar player in San Diego County, CA, should feel as seamless as the music sounds. But too often, couples tell me stories of last-minute no-shows, setlists that didn’t reflect them, or technical issues that stole the mood. I’ve built my service to take those worries off your list.
From the first call, I listened closely to your vision and expectations. I don’t rely on recycled playlists. Instead, I create something genuine for each couple—music that supports the moment without overpowering it.
Some common concerns I help solve:
With experience across dozens of San Diego County venues, I know how to show up, plug in, and deliver exactly what you’ve envisioned, with no surprises.
Let’s clear up some common misconceptions:
As the best wedding guitarist in San Diego, CA, for many years, I know how to play with timing, loudness, and crowd response. I have the tools and knowledge to make every note heard and felt, whether you’re arranging a little get-together or a big outdoor event. LA Acoustic isn’t simply music; it’s the rhythm of your wedding.
Planning a wedding takes enough of your time. Booking live music shouldn’t be another thing to stress about. That’s why I’ve designed a simple, professional process that makes working with a wedding guitarist in San Diego County easy, reliable, and personal from start to finish.
It starts with a conversation. I ask about your venue, your musical taste, and how you want the event to feel. From there, I offer a clear proposal with options for each part of the day, whether you want one set or full coverage from ceremony to reception.
As your guitarist for a wedding in San Diego County, CA, I take pride in being more than just the person behind the instrument. I’m a dependable part of your team—someone who shows up early, reads the room, adjusts the set on the fly, and always puts the couple’s experience first.
You don’t just get live music. You get assurance, attention, and the calm presence of someone who’s done this time and again—and still treats every wedding like the most important one yet.

I can provide a battery-powered setup with great sound quality for beach weddings, garden spaces, and other off-grid locations where outlets aren’t nearby. Access to electricity is needed but can be bypassed.
We need to know any directions that will help us find the venue and find the right place to load in our equipment. We’d also need to be informed if there’s a sound limiter in the venue. Parking needs to be validated. And emails to the right contact person.

Music in between sets and on break is standard practice.
Not at all. I have my own portable sound system that works well in most indoor and outdoor areas. I only need a place to perform and some power.
I stay flexible with timing. If your event schedule shifts, I can usually adjust my performance window to keep things smooth—just let me know during the consultation.
I have worked on projects with hundreds of guests. There is no "best" venue in my opinion. There are many venues and I have worked for several over the years. I enjoy them all as they are all unique and have their special features.
I enjoy playing anything overlooking the ocean.
I have been playing for years right from my days in college. There are many people I have played with and have played hundreds of events all over Southern California.
I do no have a favorite song of all time and really enjoy the music by Antonio Carlos Jobim
Yes! I appreciate advance song requests, and if I don't already know your favorites, I'll try my best to learn them. Just give me a little time to get ready.
We normally arrive 2 hours before the performance to set up. We normally perform 2 x 45 minutes or 2 x 60 minute sets. We’re happy to play a bit longer or shorter but we’ve found that these set times suit us and our audiences best.
We’re happy to play outside but we ask for shade, a flat level surface and a power supply close to the performance area
We can learn specific songs before the event but we usually limit this to 5 songs. The clients are welcome to pick a set list from our repertoire or let us choose the music for them.
Previous customers would describe me as a versatile guitarist that allows the guests to enjoy their time with each other.
Instrumental jazz and bossa nova are the safest choices for networking, with Spanish guitar adding warmth for client dinners and holiday parties. Avoid lyrics and keep the volume at conversation level.
Sometimes. Songs with a clear, singable melody translate best. Tracks that depend on drums, production or rap verses can lose their character, so your guitarist may suggest a slower or simplified version.
Bach’s Arioso, Air on the G String and Sheep May Safely Graze are elegant alternatives. Spanish Romance and Tárrega’s Lágrima offer a more distinctly guitar sound.
Spanish Romance is the piece most people name, thanks to its tender minor-to-major shift. Recuerdos de la Alhambra and Lágrima by Tárrega are close behind for listeners who love a more delicate sound.
Full-strength flamenco can be, but flamenco-style rumbas such as Entre Dos Aguas and Inspiration are smooth enough for dinner. I keep the fiery pieces for after the main course, when guests are ready for energy.
Yes. Bolero melodies are so well known that guests often hear the words in their heads. On guitar the tune sings on the top strings, and many listeners find the instrumental version even more intimate.
On its own, not always. That is why I bring a compact battery-powered PA, which lets the warm nylon tone reach every table without sounding harsh or overpowering conversation.
Plan on three to five featured pieces: one processional for the wedding party, one for the walk down the aisle, an optional piece during a unity ritual or signing, and one recessional. Add 20–30 minutes of prelude music while guests are seated, which your guitarist fills from an agreed style list.
Almost always, yes. Send your guitarist the exact track three to four weeks ahead; a professional will create a solo-guitar arrangement that preserves the melody everyone recognizes while translating it to nylon or steel strings. Very production-heavy songs may be adapted into a simplified instrumental version.
Usually not. Professionals coordinate cues in advance with your officiant or planner — who walks on which piece, and the signal to start. If your ceremony has complex timing or a choreographed entrance, a brief run-through by phone or a 10-minute on-site sync before guests arrive is plenty.
