Je m'appelle Stéphane Lacas

J'ai acheté ma première guitare à l'âge de 30 ans. J'en jouais seulement 2 fois par année, soit aux vacances de Noel et à la St-Jean, sans vraiment prendre cela au sérieux.

Puis, en 2020, je me suis lié d'amitié avec mon chanteur favori David Jalbert. Il n'en fallait pas moins pour allumer la bougie de la passion qui dormait en moi. J'ai donc décidé de mettre de l'avant mon amour de la musique québécoise. La suite s'est déroulée assez rapidement. David m'a donné beaucoup de conseils et m'a introduit au Studio Monocube ou lui et plusieurs artistes connus enregistrent leur matériel. En septembre 2022, mon premier single ''Casino'' a été très bien reçu par diverses radio web ainsi qu'aux radios commerciales de Arsenal Média. Ensuite, mes chansons ''Le resto d'à côté'', Puis ''La musique d'ici'', ''Tête de cochon'', et ''Viens donc souper chez nous'' ont été sélectionnées. En 2024, on a pu entendre ma chanson ''On n'attend plus rien'' chantée en duo avec Cédric Paquet du groupe Bronko.

J'ai chanté plusieurs fois sur scène avec David Jalbert notamment lors de sa rentrée montréalaise au National à Montréal. Puis, on a décidé d'écrire une chanson ensemble. Le titre ''Hibernez jusqu'au printemps'' est entré en rotation à 94,3 Energie chez Bell Média. Fier de moi, j'ai lancé, le 1er juin 2024, mon premier album (La musique d'ici), au vieux palais de l'assomption. Un album de 10 chansons originales, enregistré professionnellement avec la participation de Alain Quirion. (batteur du groupe Zébulon)

Je continue de m'épanouir dans le merveilleux univers de la musique en chantant dans des restos et des bars et party privés. J'adore la sensation quand en spectacle les gens chantent mes paroles avec moi! Je suis déterminé à mettre les efforts nécessaires pour faire connaître ma musique partout au Québec.

Discovering an ever-growing passion.

My name is Stéphane Lacas

I bought my first guitar at the age of 30. I only played it twice a year, at Christmas and St John's Day, without really taking it seriously.

Then, in 2020, I made friends with my favourite singer David Jalbert. That was all it took to light the candle of passion that had been sleeping inside me. So I decided to put forward my love of Quebec music. The rest happened quite quickly. David gave me a lot of advice and introduced me to Studio Monocube, where he and a number of well-known artists record their material. In September 2022, my first single “'Casino”' was very well received by various web radio stations as well as Arsenal Média's commercial radio stations. Then, my songs “'Le resto d'à côté”', “'La musique d'ici”', “'Tête de cochon”', and “'Viens donc souper chez nous”' were selected. In 2024, you could hear my song “'On n'attend plus rien”' sung as a duet with Cédric Paquet from the group Bronko.

I sang on stage several times with David Jalbert, notably during his Montreal comeback at the National in Montreal. Then we decided to write a song together. The song “'Hibernez jusqu'au printemps”' went into rotation at 94.3 Energie on Bell Media. Proud of myself, on 1 June 2024 I launched my first album (La musique d'ici) at the old Assumption Palace. An album of 10 original songs, professionally recorded with the participation of Alain Quirion (drummer with the group Zébulon)

I continue to blossom in the wonderful world of music, singing in restaurants, bars and private parties. I love the feeling when people sing my lyrics with me at a show! I'm determined to make the necessary efforts to get my music known throughout Quebec.
