Wiz 'n Dash are fully self-contained for most events. We generally require a performance space of approximately 3m x 2m and access to a standard 240V power outlet within reasonable distance of the performance area. Easy access for loading and unloading equipment is always appreciated. For larger weddings or outdoor events, we'll discuss any additional requirements during the planning stage.

To ensure everything runs smoothly, we'd love to know the venue location, performance area, event schedule, bump-in access times, parking availability, and whether there are any sound restrictions or curfews. If your venue has multiple areas (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception), we'll work with you to determine the best setup and timing for each part of the day.

Yes. We provide a professional PA system suitable for ceremonies, cocktail hours, receptions, private functions and most venue performances. We also provide basic stage and ambient lighting to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Wireless microphones can be supplied for speeches and MC duties where required. For larger events, additional production can be arranged upon request.

Absolutely. We can provide curated background music before guests arrive, between live sets, during meal service, and after our final set. You're welcome to provide your own Spotify playlist, or we can tailor the music to suit the vibe of your event. This helps maintain a seamless flow throughout the day and keeps the energy up while we're taking a short break.

One of our most memorable gigs was performing at Republica in St Kilda. Playing live music right on the beachfront as the sun set over Port Phillip Bay created an incredible atmosphere, and seeing families, couples and groups singing along made it a night to remember. We love any venue where great music brings people together, whether it's a packed pub, a wedding reception or a private celebration.

We genuinely enjoy all types of events, but weddings and private functions are probably our favourites. There's something special about being part of a milestone moment and helping create memories that people will talk about for years. We also love corporate events, waterfront venues, birthday celebrations, ladies' nights and relaxed Sunday sessions where we can read the crowd and build the perfect atmosphere.

Wiz 'n Dash was born from a shared love of live music, great songs and entertaining a crowd. Over the years we've performed at pubs, bars, restaurants, private functions, corporate events and community celebrations throughout Melbourne. Our repertoire blends acoustic classics, modern hits, R&B, pop, rock and hip-hop influences, allowing us to adapt to a wide range of audiences and events. We pride ourselves on being reliable, professional and easy to work with, while delivering a performance that feels authentic, engaging and fun.

Our influences range from classic rock and soul through to modern pop, R&B and hip-hop. We grew up listening to artists like John Mayer, Blackstreet, Crowded House, Ed Sheeran, Jack Johnson, Eminem and Justin Bieber, and that mix probably explains why our setlists can jump from singalong classics to acoustic reworks of modern hits. We appreciate artists who can tell a story, create a moment and make a crowd feel something.

We typically arrive 45 to 60 minutes before our scheduled start time to allow for setup, soundcheck and final preparations. For most events we perform in either 2 x 50-minute sets, 3 x 45-minute sets, or can tailor our performance schedule to suit your run sheet. For weddings and private functions, we're happy to provide music across multiple parts of the day, including ceremonies, cocktail hour, dinner service and reception entertainment. We also provide background music and DJ-style playlists between live sets to keep the atmosphere flowing.

Absolutely. We love outdoor weddings, beachfront events, garden parties and winery functions. We simply require a flat, sheltered performance area and access to power nearby. For the safety of our equipment, protection from rain and extreme weather is essential. If conditions change unexpectedly, we're always happy to work with venues and organisers to find a suitable solution.

Definitely. Every event is different, and we work closely with clients to create the right soundtrack for their occasion. You're welcome to provide favourite artists, must-play songs and songs you'd prefer us to avoid. For weddings, we're happy to learn a special song for your ceremony or first dance where practical and with sufficient notice. We also adapt our setlists live based on the crowd and atmosphere to keep guests engaged throughout the event.
