Review Centre: Wedding Bands

" I've heard the music of New Age Flamenco around Seattle over the years and we got lucky enough to have them at our Ceremony and Reception. Our wedding wouldn't have been the same without Oleg and New Age Flamenco. I won't even go into the basics [of being on time and other common sense], because these guys are simply the best in town. From their professionalism to how reliable they are to the standard of entertainment they provide, I will forever recommend them to anyone holding any event. Oleg wend above and beyond with planning the whole evening with us for literally hours and we couldn't have been more thankful. On top of that, I had the honor to perform with them at our wedding, which was one of my favorite memories through the evening! Thank you for everything guys! S.D."

"We hired the band for our wedding day, and honestly couldn’t sing their praises any higher. We paid for the additional brass section and also for the photo booth service they provided. Both were absolutely worth the money, and added real value to our day. Paul was a real pleasure and always contactable in the build up to the wedding. He accommodated our requests and was always super quick to respond to any queries we had. On the day, they were extremely discreet in the set-up and brought real energy to their set. The second set (after all the guests had had a few more beverages…) kept the dance floor filled, and the band’s sound was honestly impeccable. The lead singer was ridiculously good (I can’t stress this enough), and the rest of the band provided an absolutely flawless accompaniment. The song banks they crafted were meticulously put together allowing for seamless transitions through songs."

"Added value for a successful event We really enjoyed the performance. Although there were many guests, it was very noisy, and many people were on the terrace, it was very nice to have a pleasant tune playing in the background. It contributed greatly to a successful event. I also really appreciated that this musical trio could be arranged on such short notice, which certainly added value to the event. "

"This time, Marcia Bamberg Swing Quartet was our guest at our special concert stage. Their passion and warmth radiated from the small stage. The audience was close to the Quartet, which created a direct and almost personal experience. It felt like a living room concert, but with a great professional performance that you would expect at a larger venue. From the beginning to the last applause, it was an impressive performance, in which both quiet, atmospheric ballads and rhythmic numbers were alternated. Marcia's beautiful voice that combined wonderfully with the sounds of the guitars and double bass. The quartet not only knows how to shine musically, but also the contact with the audience is special! They bring an evening-filling program full of beautiful numbers and moments of interaction, which create an intimate and cozy atmosphere. What an honor to receive you. Thank you!"

"Dear Lisa & The Band, Thank you for all your help in the run up to my dad's surprise party. I think you could say he was pleasantly surprise and speechless, well for some of the evening anyway! Everyone during and since has said how wonderfully professional you were and that they enjoyed every minute. "James Haslam is a consummate performer, and the fact that he shows great skill and flair when he is on stage proves he is demonstrating a sincere homage and respect for the real Elvis. It is no surprise that he won a Diversity Award at the recent Porthcawl Elvis Festival. James’s rapport with the audience is immediate encouraging enthusiastic participation – bringing nearly all his audience onto his stage. It’s all there: the gyrating hips, the lip curl, the arm movements, the shaking of the torso. This is an act of pure robust energy performed in a unique style. Upbeat, joyful and immense fun. Elberace works because Haslam has studied the man, the legend, and what Elvis stood for as an exceptional showman and the ‘King of Vegas’. Stand out numbers include Walk A Mile In My Shoes and Suspicious Minds. A fabulous show – and I’m sure James’s star will rise to great heights on the current cabaret circuit (10 / 10) "

"I originally was looking at another band as my present for my dad's 80th but as soon as I saw Soul75's YouTube videos I knew they would make the event, and boy was I right!! It was a big celebration at 150 people and we are still getting comments about it, mainly about the band. Soul75 have a fantastic set list to choose from and me and my parents chose almost every song they suggested. We wanted quite a bit of reggae as my dad is Jamaican so they really can do it all. Their set was tight, and you could tell they all worked hard to ensure it stayed that way. From the drummer, to bass, to guitar and the incredible vocalist, everything was spot on. Our guests felt like they were at a gig, people were dancing and singing along. They even accommodated me singing a song for my dad. Simply put, if you are hesitating between bands, you will not be disappointed. Richard stayed in good contact up to the night of our event. Thank you so much guys, you really are a special band and my dad LOVED it."

"Blue Moon Jazz were the most wonderful wedding band for our wedding in Gardone Riviera at Lake Garda, and we loved every moment of their music! When planning our wedding, Raphael was truly wonderful – communication was so easy, prompt and friendly, and we never once felt worried or stressed about the music, which was so appreciated when planning our wedding from abroad! On the day of our wedding, Blue Moon set-up, coordinated with the venue, and played the most beautiful set. We asked them to accompany our reception, which they did beautifully. They helped us with the technical aspects of speeches during our dinner, and provided the microphone and sound system. Lastly, in the evening, Blue Moon were phenomenal – they got everyone dancing and created a beautiful atmosphere. So many of our guests specifically said how much they loved the music, and we could not have been happier with them. Thank you so much to Raphael and the rest of the band, for making this happy day even more special!"

"We booked this wonderful band for our wedding ceremony and cocktails hour and a half. The music choice suited the venue and our music taste and everyone commented on Pataria amazing soul voice. We would highly recommend this band for any wedding/ special event."
