Review Centre: R&B Bands

"I have had the pleasure of taking in the Hollywood Boulevard show a few times and im very excited for their upcoming show at EastSides Bar and Grille in London Ontario. Their take on Motown, Funk ,Disco and any other surprises that they throw in are not to be missed. They fill and keep the dance floor hopping from their first song to their oncore. This six piece band are all professional performers and put on an excellent show and are very good at mixing and engaging with the audience. They are very accommodating to both the venue, their staff and mostly, the patrons. If this is your kind of music then I would highly recommend seeing them You won’t be disappointed. "

"Could not recommend the Blue Moon Jazz Band enough, they were absolutely fantastic from the moment I sent my initial enquiry email. Raphael was so responsive and helpful with whatever question I asked, and he also helped me out a great deal with some of the legal admin I needed to do, which was so so appreciated. He really went above and beyond. As for the performance, well it was just incredible. They are all such talented players and had such a wide range of music they could play. It really made a difference as well to see the smiles on all their faces during their performance, they seemed to genuinely enjoy playing for us. We only had a wedding of 20 people, and this size of band really worked so well. Also really appreciated the band staying on an extra 1.5 hours despite them having long ways to travel afterwards. The best band in all of Italy!!"

"We were looking for a talented, Bay Area born musician for our launch party for Forgotten Temple Ventures, and the search was becoming a struggle until a friend recommended Gillian Harwin. I immediately looked her up on Spotify and reached out to ask about her rates and whether she performed at launch parties. To my surprise, she responded without hesitation and immediately wanted to understand the atmosphere we were trying to create. I told her we wanted something fun, upbeat, and energetic, with music that could get people off their feet. After going back and forth with Gillian about how best to showcase her incredible versatility and talent, the day of the event finally arrived. WOW! She showed up early, completed a sound check, and was professional, prepared, and an absolute joy to work with. Our guests were completely captivated by her. Before her scheduled time was even over, I asked whether I could pay her for overtime and she could stay for another hour and a half because she truly had the party in the palm of her hands. One of the most unforgettable moments was watching my daughter listen to “If I Could Sing Like You.” She could not take her eyes off Ms. Harwin, and I was brought to tears. It was such a beautiful and powerful moment. Gillian, it was truly a pleasure meeting you and having you perform for us. This will absolutely not be the last time we book you. Thank you for bringing your talent, professionalism, energy, and beautiful spirit to our celebration. Sending so much abundance and love your way. Again, WOW! I am still clapping and asking for more!"

"As musicians ourselves, we thought finding the perfect music to accompany our wedding in Tuscany would be difficult. However Blue Moon Jazz quickly set us at ease. After being impressed with their sound on video, we managed to organise seeing the band instrumentally at a nearby venue they were playing whilst visiting our venue. They were so friendly and happy to let us come along for a live listen. They sounded even better in real life! Pianist and band leader Raphael was informative and communicative throughout our planning process. Their musicianship and talent is top notch and they sounded amazing during our ceremony, aperitif and party. The guests all commented on how great they sounded and how much they enjoyed dancing and singing along. The vocals and each instrument were played to perfection. I cannot recommend them enough. To top it off Blue Moon let us play a song with them on the wedding night! Thank you Raphael, Bernardo, Paolo & Nanà, you were awesome! "

Aside from being incredibly talented, they are professional, friendly and will make such a big difference to your wedding day! On the day of the wedding we had to make last minute changes because of the weather, and they went above and beyond to help and maintain the magical atmosphere and beautiful sound. "The R Factor was by far the highlight of our wedding! We selected the largest dance floor offered by our reception venue and it was packed all night. We even had guests dancing on the carpet! Not only did they exceed our expectations on our wedding night, but they were also extremely professional and easy to work with. Unlike what we’ve heard about other wedding bands, they performed almost all of the songs that we selected. A year later, we are still hearing about how amazing The R Factor was. We’ve even had guests who have hired them for their own events. We cannot say enough good things about The R Factor!!!!!"

"Gillian and her trio were AMAZING! They really completed the whole vibe for my 50th Birthday! They played a jazz set as the guests arrived and then switched modes to dance party band and even had some of the guests sit in and play!! We were blown away with their professionalism, punctuality, adaptability, ability to switch from background music to full on party band! Gillian is a phenomenal vocalist and bassist and her band was funky and FUN! They curated set lists that were perfect for the whole event. I highly recommend them for ANY event as they are very adaptable and entertaining!"

"We played at the hilltop reunion the promoters were very excited to hear was played that day and we had a lot more gigs from that particular concert up in Fairmount Park in Philadelphia Pennsylvania and there were other promoters that wanted us to play at other venues"

"You guys are amazing!!! We just saw you at the winter carnival and yes the ice sculptures were good, but damn you guys brought the house down. I keep telling my wife, I freaking love this band. I usual dont dance in public around strangers but when you played Prince “I would Die for You” I couldn’t help but jam out! You have gained a couple of fans for life and will definitely come to any concert you do."

"We cannot say enough about this band!!! None of our guests wanted them to stop and they have continuously reached out to us talking about how great Le'Mixx was at our wedding. Le'Mixx got everyone up and dancing the entire time! The band manager and lead guitarist, Myke, was awesome to work with, stayed in touch the whole time, and made the night run so smoothly.
