"I have the distinct privilege of being in the same church choir where C J is a member. He and Betty (whom we all love too!) are fairly new members of our church, and I knew immediately he was gifted by God. He adds his special touch to our church and especially our choir with his personality and talents. Thanks for sharing with us what God has gifted you with!!!"

"I booked Sue to play at my daughter's wedding. Not only did she play everything we wanted, but she also provided a beautiful white grand piano shell, which looked AMAZING! She played with great feeling, and I completely recommend her."

"Marini plays the piano and violin for our church. This past Sunday she played a violin solo. Afterward, a handful of people told me how moved they were by it. Her piano playing, too, is confident but not "in your face." In addition to her musical abilities, Marini is also extremely easy to work with and a lovely person."

"A Masterclass in Professional Saxophone & Performance! If you are looking for top-tier musical professionalism, this is an absolute must-hire. As a retired Army musician with over 30 years of experience, Chris brings a level of discipline, talent, and "class" that is rare to find. His expertise shines through in every note, whether performing traditional jazz, swing, or beautiful holiday classics. Chris’s soulful saxophone work—clearly influenced by greats like John Coltrane—is the highlight of the performance. He is incredibly versatile, having performed at everything from intimate weddings and private parties to military ceremonies and international concerts across the US and South America. What makes this act stand out is the sheer reliability and adaptability. He arrives early, provides professional sound and lighting systems, and is happy to tailor the repertoire to include specific client requests. Whether you need sophisticated background music for a corporate gala or a lively performance for a celebration, Chris delivers a flawless, high-quality show every time. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a truly polished, world-class musician!"

"Ed was just brilliant; he played exactly the style of music we had requested and kept a perfect mood throughout the whole evening. He started a little bit early and finished a little bit late. All our guests remarked upon his professionalism and his musical talent. He was simply the best! He listened to what we described as our perfect musical evening and he delivered perfection. His mellow jazz style set the tone for the evening and everyone loved his music. It was not intrusive, but it was always there. That ensured there were no dull silences during dinner. In addition, he was a perfect gentleman…something of a rarity these days. We would have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone."

"I just wanted to say thank you again for making my 50th birthday party such a fantastic night. We had many great comments from guests about your voice and playing as well as your great repertoire. I’m very discerning, but you went above and beyond my greatest of expectations. Above all you were polite, professional and knowledgeable. I even learnt a couple of useful things myself from you. You also treated my precious grand piano with great care too. I look forward to finding an excuse to invite you back for another party sometime in the future."

"Dusty is a great guy and great player. He has the musical knowledge to play any style with feel and confidence. And most importantly, he does the homework. Will never show up unprepared. You can count on him in even in a no-rehearse situation…that’s a rare find."

"We were so excited to have The Magpies play and sing for our AACA Christmas party! Our caterer bailed on us and we found a restaurant to bring food, but it took a long time, however the time flew by listening to these ladies with beautiful songs everyone knew! Lovely, lively piano & guitar and fantastic vocals including Holiday songs for Christmas! They saved the day for us by keeping the party going! Kathleen /Antique Auto Club of America"

"Jessica played my wedding ceremony and cocktail hour - I have to say, if Jessica wasn’t there to play her beautiful music, our day definitely wouldn’t have been as magical! She truly is a passionate musician with amazing artistry. At one point, she had our guests singing along at the cocktail hour - enough to hear all around the venue! I would 100% recommend Jessica over and over again for any special event as she adds something intangibly special to the atmosphere."

"Paris, Galerie 19 Paul Fort, June 29, 2023, around 8:45 p.m. The trio is on tour. He had already come to our country last year, for a short tour of 3 dates in the South-West, at the initiative of Philippe Levreaud. Here he is back. The day before he was in Seine-et-Marne at the Moulin de Benne, and the days after that it will be Angoulême, Bordeaux and Puy-du-Lac. But for now they are here, for us, in this Gallery which regularly hosts the rarest music. A rustle of cymbals, the stridencies of the soprano sax, and a keyboard motif which installs a pulse: an incipit which smells good of the magic of improvised music. Then the improvisation is organized around a vehement pulse: the percussionist is at the center of the game. Not like a ‘groove machine’ which would convey preconceived ideas: rather like the living heart of an organism in permanent mutation. The pianist is in a double dialogue: rhythmic with the percussions, melodic-harmonic with the saxophonist. It is lyrical, tense, and a host of micro-events take place that bring the speech to incandescence. End of the first sequence. After brief words of welcome and introduction (Jamie Harris contributes his French) we set off headlong, towards the alto sax, in a crazy, almost Caribbean spin. Then back to the soprano, for a sort of ballad that will increase in intensity, on motifs that carry a bit of Africa within them. And this continent is still present in the following theme, which is a tribute to the musicians from Ghana with whom Trevor Watts collaborated at the end of the previous century. Throughout the concert, the music breathes under other horizons: Hispanic, Latin American, Middle Eastern. With sometimes melancholy accents that often resolve themselves into intense pulsations, towards a lyricism that is as torn as it is heartbreaking. In short, a bouquet of strong emotions and subtle sensations: music, in short. Audience conquered, columnist in heaven, ready to face the galley of the year to return from Porte d’Orléans to Bondy: due to ‘security measures’, no metro or bus; no RER ‘E’ but walking to Denfert Rochereau for the RER B to Gare du Nord, then line 5 to Bobigny, and 4 km of walking to reach my home. 2H45 to cover 18 short kilometres (where it usually takes about fifty minutes by public transport, from door to door). But the concert was really worth it! Xavier Prévost"
