"A year on and I am finally writing a review (sorry, I am useless at writing reviews) as I'm reminiscing about how great these guys were for my birthday last year and realised I had never done this! I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They were so accomodating and flexible as well as putting on a fantastic show. They had everyone dancing and commenting on how brilliant they were! Thank you so much for making my party so great! :)"

"Rachel and Peter, WOW. They are both so talented with incredible voices! They played at our garden wedding from the first dance, and their version of our song did not disappoint! We keep watching videos of it on repeat and we are so happy with it! They were also accommodating of letting us use their PA systems for our cermony and speeches during dinner. It made it a lot easier than us having to find something temporary. Despite the rain for the most part of the evening, everyone had a great time and was on the dancefloor for most of it! All the guests have thoroughly enjoyed themselvess and feedback on them have been 100% positive. They are very professional but also very friendly. Would definitely recommend them. Thank you both for making our special day even more special!"

"Hi everyone We want to thank you all for making ou wedding day amazing. The whole day was simply amazing and the pictures seem just out of a movie. Everything worked so perfectly from the ceremony to the band, cake cutting just everything. Everyone was saying that the food was fantastic and the band unbelievable and honestle the amount of people saying it was the best wedding they have been to, simply says it all. Justyna just cannot stop looking at the pictures, listening to the music and thinking it was a fairy-tale. Once again thank you for making this day so memorable and we will remember you all very fondly in the years to come, we will not forget what have you done for us. "Jools composed and remotely recorded violin sections for 3 of my tracks: Just For a Day; Roman 7; Boneyard. The tracks have an American influence but would fall under the indie genre. Essentially, the remit for Jools was to 'bulk them out' with strings. Although I had not actually met Jools in person (and still haven't), he was extremely responsive when communicating via email and therefore didn't need to meet. Before agreeing, he encouraged me to listen to his back catalogue - I was impressed with the breadth and depth of genres that Jools had worked with and I was pleased to learn he had worked with a couple of acquaintances of mine- namely The Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra and Chris Tye. Listening to his work, I was impressed by his knack around texturising songs- in my experience, strings can sometimes feel isolated from the rest of the instrumentation and I am aware that some string players find this aspect of composition challenging. Throughout the process, Jools ensured he had a secure understanding around my expectations. This brought about discussion around dynamics, chord progression technique (tremolo, tied sections etc). Although he was happy to read from transcript, I felt that his take on composition would be much better than mine, so he kindly agreed to compose the parts himself. After recording the first version, he sent me recordings via YouTube- he even went to the trouble of including a running text commentary of his thoughts within the video itself. This meant that I could give better feedback and bounce off his ideas. I was especially amazed by the turnaround (3 days to complete the process) as I had not set any deadlines or ball-park timeframes. Jools' playing is technically perfect and he has an exceptional ear for harmony and dynamics. e.g. He knew not to play for the sake of playing, and when to build to crescendo. He was able to add a range of chords, hooks and new melodies to the song. In Boneyard, the melody in the instrumental chorus ended up becoming the dominant hook- this was totally unplanned. Much like his violin playing, the overall recording quality was very professional. If you are looking for an outstanding string player who is both technical and visionary, Jools would be my number one recommendation."

They arrived early and were very organised and professional and delivered what they promised. "They performed at our festivities at Club Social El Mirador in Toledo and it was spectacular. After a full week of celebrations, with the audience already exhausted, Kalifornia Party Band managed to get everyone back on their feet with their energy. They took us to full throttle from the very first song. They have a different, modern and very approachable concept. They connected with the crowd from minute one, with an impeccable stage presence and a genuine desire to enjoy the moment with us. True professionals, fun, and with a repertoire that made people of all ages vibrate. We will definitely book them again. "

"Wow! One week on and I am still revelling in memories from my 50th birthday party with Herding Katz performing! They were AWEOME!!! I am honestly trying to think of a reason to host another party soon, just to get them to play again. All my guests raved about the band, songs played and how great it was that they were so engaging of the crowd. Friends are already planning on booking them for their parties in the future. Gary was so professional and friendly from first contact. We chatted about music genres and favourite bands, and straight away I knew they were exactly the band I was looking for. Good old pub sing-a-longs and rock classics from my youth. The band are a friendly group of guys who obviously enjoy music and performing. They had my young kids, party guests, myself, my hubby all up on stage at one time or another singing along or playing an instrument. No pressure, just fun! I seriously had the best birthday ever dancing, singing and partying while the band played. I can not emphasis how much fun Herding Katz were and how awesome the night was! So many great memories. I can’t thank these guys enough for making my party the huge success it was. Can’t wait to see you guys again and rock on! Thanks guys so much for the most amazing night of music and partying! I would be happy to recommend Herding Katz to anyone that was considering booking them. Do yourself a favour, you will have the time of your life!"

"I booked JBMAC for our residents Summer Party and they did not disappoint !!!! They delivered the exact set that suited the event perfectly. Amazing vocals and DJ set. So many people gave great feedback as to how they really enjoyed them. I would recommend them in a heartbeat to bring any event to life & create a great atmosphere.
