"With all the hype going to Wynton Marsalis, you might not guess that there are other, lesser-known, straight-ahead trumpet players out there who are consistently ripping the hide off the ball. This, Rick Holland's auspicious debut, is an impressive effort. The trumpeter leads his quartet, backed by a solid Michigan-based rhythm section: pianist Terry Lower, bassist Ed Fedewwa, and drummer Larry Ochiltree, through a fiery trail of originals and standards, interspersed with some fine balladry. Holland's sensitive ear translates to some tight arrangements and a well-organized program. On flugelhorn, he boasts a rich, full tone that purrs with warmth. On the faster tunes, he steams. This is the kind of jazz that feels just right on a wintry day, with the fireplace in full throttle, and the feet resting on a cushion: it hits the spot perfectly, drenched with emotional power and skillful fortitude. "We listened to dozens of bands before we selected Good Time SF for the recent wedding and reception of our daughter in L’Aquila. The bride is a musicologist so the music was quite important. The band is terrific musically, even better live than in their great videos. Equally important, they are exceptional in their professionalism and communication. They worked with us patiently to ensure absolute satisfaction in various types of music we requested for the ceremony. On the day of the event, they magically set up at all the right locations and appropriate music was played through out the evening without any further direction from us. We can honestly and wholeheartedly recommend Good Time Soul Foundation for any occasion."

"Special thanks go to Santa Sax for playing his heart out yesterday and keeping everyone entertained with his beautiful music and raising over £75 for Isaac’s Food Bank ♥️ We would 100% recommend this amazing musician to anyone booking an event, not only is he an amazing saxophone player, but he is the kindest, sweetest man ? "Great band ! Professional presentation, great players , great vocals . The best part was how they engaged the with the audience making sure everyone was having a fabulous time ! Took every request and Shelley, (the vocalist), had complete control of the party . Everyone loved D-Train Jazz. They all were accomplished musicians With years of experience and impressive experiences with the biggest names in the music business . I’ve gone to several weddings in the past few years , and no other group compared . Their price was so reasonable and explained that they played for their passion for music rather than money …. And boy! …. You could see and feel their Passion!!!…….. Rating: 10 plus!"
