"Despite getting married during the coronavirus pandemic and therefore having to have limited numbers, we knew we still wanted a live musician to really set the tone of the day. Jay certainly did this and so much more. She played beautifully as the guests arrived and as the bridesmaids walked down the aisle. She played me down the aisle too, to ‘Kissing You - Des’Ree’ which was so moving. Jay set the tone of the day from the start of the ceremony and she worked closely with our wedding planner so she truly understood our desires for our wedding. We are so grateful to her for her part in our day and would highly recommend her to anyone considering a cellist for their special event. "

"Essential for these moments It was love at first sight. We'd seen their videos on Instagram and knew that for a day like our wedding, it was essential to have a team like this. And we weren't wrong! The planning and coordination were super simple; they adapted to our requests and offered us a true concert within our religious ceremony. The guests effusively shared their surprise and positive feedback, and we agreed completely. The repertoire was extensive and varied: we could have gone for the classical, but the contemporary music in their hands sounded almost as angelic as Beethoven. A huge success, thank you!"

"Following our morning church ceremony, our wedding reception began at 13:00. Since we didn’t want to have a huge party (and were only 40 people), my husband and I opted for a harpist to play during the reception. I found Myriam quite simply by Googling, since I had nobody to provide any recommendations and no idea about anything in Paris at the time. We briefly corresponded over email and we decided to meet for a coffee to discuss the wedding. As soon as I met Myriam, I felt comfortable with her. I’m not entirely sure of how to explain it but I knew I wanted her to be a part of our day, she was so friendly, genuire and more importantly, interested in what we wanted for ouir special day. Perhaps it sounds silly, but I wanted to feel comfortable with everybody involved from the church to the venue to the catering staff to the musician to the photographer – I wanted everybody and everything to feel just right. We know nothing about classical music. We know that we like it, but our knowledge ends there ! Myriam was so helpful, and we had such confidence in her that we didn’t event specify a « must-play » list. We explained that we wanted soft, romantic tunes and left the rest to her. We were impressed, as were all of our guests. I think both my dress and Myriam’s playing received top billing ! :) As the afternoon drew to a close, Myriam answered questions from guests about her harp, and even showed us how to play a few notes. Needless to say, we were all awful but it was a lot of fun. I feel strongly that people should have a passion, and it warms my heart to know that when Myriam plays, it’s not just her job, she actually plays with love, passion and joy. I feel honoured that she was able to share those emotions on our wedding day. Now I just need to arrange another wedding so we can have her back !"

"We had the pleasure of having Fortune Strings play at our wedding yesterday at Newton House Barns, they are seriously talented musicians and so professional to deal with. We chose a modern selection of music for the aisle walk etc and then left the rest to Sarah & co for the drinks reception, all I can say is WOW just fantastic, we really cannot recommend highly enough."

"These guys were amazing from start to finish. Planning a wedding overseas is not easy, but they were so responsive with emails and no question felt too much - they were always happy to reply and put us at ease. They were also extremely compassionate and patient when we had to take a break in communication due to a family illness. They were really helpful when we were unsure of what songs we should add to different moments, and were accommodating when we requested specific songs for specific moments. On the day, the music sounded even more beautiful than I could have imagined - my only regret is that I couldn’t have them there the entire day! It really was a dream come true to have such beautiful strings music at our wedding, we will never forget it!"
