Review Centre: Oldies Bands

"We booked The Innocent for my Dad’s 50th birthday celebrations and they were absolutely INCREDIBLE! On the day, they arrived well in advance to set up, and were such a pleasure to talk to. I cannot express how incredibly talented these guys are. As the organiser, nearly the entirety of our party (60 people) approached me asking where on earth did I find such a fantastic band? We also had our 38 holiday cottage guests (staying in the other three properties around the house) say how much they loved hearing The Innocent from afar and asked for their details before their departure the next day! The acoustic and violin combination was such a hit, with our guests singing and dancing to their songs in the sun – they had made the celebrations absolute perfection. My dad was truly overwhelmed with the atmosphere they had created for his birthday and he will never forget such a beautiful day thanks to them! I cannot recommend The Innocent enough and would love to re-book them for future events! Thank you so much!"

"The Sunset River Band is a fun group to go see! They love their fans and cover lots of favorite crowd pleasers! The band has the ability to capture the spirit and essence of the original songs while adding their own unique flair. Each band member has their own style and are great musicians. Check them out next time you can!"

"I booked The Backbeats for my dad's 80th Birthday party and I am so glad I did! Commnication from booking up until the night was great. Such lovely people. The music was amazing, everybody loved them and had the best time! I would highly recommend the band and I wouldn't hesitate to book them again!"

"We have been inundated with messages this morning from people who were at our party last night, where FIRESTAR played 2x1 hour sets. EVERY one of those messages was a variation on "Great band", "Amazing band" and "What a voice the lead singer has". It is fair to say that people were blown away by FIRESTAR, their live sound and the high-end sound and lighting system. They even got me on the dancefloor! From start to finish the communication with Trev was excellent. We had lots of questions and he always responded with lots of information in a very timely manner. The band are highly professional and a pleasure to work with. You really have to hear Charlene live to really understand how good her voice is. If you are looking for a band that know exactly how to get a party started, are a pleasure to deal with and are GREAT value for money FIRESTAR are it. Book them. You will not be disappointed!"

"We were so excited to have The Magpies play and sing for our AACA Christmas party! Our caterer bailed on us and we found a restaurant to bring food, but it took a long time, however the time flew by listening to these ladies with beautiful songs everyone knew! Lovely, lively piano & guitar and fantastic vocals including Holiday songs for Christmas! They saved the day for us by keeping the party going! Kathleen /Antique Auto Club of America"

"Big City Dixieland was a HUGE hit in our City Parade! Audiences from all ages were singing along, clapping and even dancing in the grass! Big City Dixieland sounded great! From what we (the organizers) could hear, they played a good variety of lively, well-known Dixieland Music, including a patriotic song. It was very easy to work with Maureen and Michael, their band arrived early, and everyone was very professional. We will definitely be hiring Big City Dixieland band for our next event in 2025! "

"We loved the show! We also loved the living table girls in their disco costuming, the themed stickers and necklaces for guests, and dancers on stage dancing away before the show started to set the mood. The band was great and the lead singers were amazing! Costumes were right on, and portrayal of the duos were spot on! What a talented group!"

"After weeks and weeks of looking for a wedding band we stumbled across Surefire Trio. We were worried organising an Irish wedding from the UK would be complicated but Roy was an absolute dream to work with, made the whole process so stress free! We opted for the band and DJ for the night, they were perfect and fantastic value for money, our initially reserved crowd were up dancing in no time! They performed an excellent mix of music and played a playlist of music of our choice while the evening buffet was being served, then the DJ kept the music going til the early hours. I had 100% confidence in them as they are true professionals, talented musicians and really know how to read a crowd. I would recommend these guys to get any party going!"
