"It’s March and still raining. I’ve trawled through some serious procrastination to decide where I’m going tonight; at least three decent live music offerings in Chester that I know of. And I’m sure the others were brilliant. Marblehead Johnson are, in their own words, a “tribute to the British Britpop music scene” and a “powerful combination of passion and quality.” A tribute band, to me, equals lunatic professionalism. To tribute a whole scene is a big ask. Good covers bands are rare enough, taking that enormous and unlikely step beyond random amateur recreation. But these guys really do tick the box of perfectionist, professional curators though. Friday night was time travel night with a set list that captured the point where British alt-rock got (largely) happy and popular (in a good way). A guitar dominated, looping and lurching opener with Ocean Colour Scene and The Riverboat Song; polished and convincing. Second song in and I’m braving the dance floor with the pointy shoed brigade. A few songs further and they offer me proof of their professionalism. A very-very-very long time ago I was lucky enough to make it into Brixton Academy and unfortunate enough to catch James on a sincerely off night. And I’ve heard James and Sit Down many times since: at home, on the radio, in DJ sets and covered-more-than-it-should-be. One of those beautiful songs that gets tired through over use. And on this particular Friday night I heard it come alive; all vitality restored. There were the things I expected; a good dose of Blur and Oasis both, Stereophonics, Bluetones and more, then some referencing back to foundation stones with The Who and The Jam. Marblehead Johnson switched between styles and musical voices with conviction; into acoustic things and seamlessly back out again. The magic of seeing grown men dance without a pint in hand happened repeatedly through the two sets. On any given set you pray for that one song you don’t see coming; the track you might flick through on the album that becomes something else entirely live. So it was with Blur’s Charmless Man. That perfect Blur poetry, simple, direct and delivered with energy. Marblehead Johnson are a good distance from being charmless. They are careful collectors and curators of songs; fine musicians and performers.!"

"We asked Blue Moon to perform at our wedding in Rome a few weeks back and would highly recommend these guys to anyone!!! They played during our ceremony, aperitivo cocktail hour and throughout dinner. These guys are super talented and really down to earth – they were very responsive through the whole process (we hired them over a year in advance!), so kind and understanding and they created an awesome atmosphere for us. They were a delight to work with and really lifted the atmosphere on finals day, we had lots of great feedback from everyone about them. "Wow! What an INCREDIBLE band. NOVA just played for my wedding on Saturday just gone and they were amazing. Everyone was up dancing, the songs were upbeat & were sung to perfection. Everyone on the dance floor wanted them to continue playing … and last of all they looked the part to, all suited and booted, and of course Adele was rocking gorgeous sparkles. I wasn’t fortunate enough to hear them play before booking but if you have any doubts, don’t because I was blown away! I’d book them over and over if I could! ??"

"We had The Cheers play at our wedding in April and it was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The band were great fun, very talented and got everyone dancing all night. They listened carefully to our song preferences and created a setlist that was perfect for our wedding style. In addition, they played our first song live which made our first dance extra special. They were professional, helpful and friendly, both in the run up to the wedding and on the day itself. The communication was clear throughout and they even arrived slightly earlier so that they weren't setting up during the wedding breakfast. We had been slightly unsure about whether to hire a band as the cost is much higher than a DJ, but we have absolutely no regrets at all, and we would most definitely recommend The Cheers to others."

"We had the absolute pleasure of having JBMAC perform at our wedding in August, and they were incredible! From the very beginning, they were so accommodating. We requested a shorter version of our first dance song, and they edited it perfectly to fit what we wanted. They also took the time to incorporate our song suggestions and even played some of our guests’ more obscure requests, everyone’s music tastes were accounted for. Nora’s vocals were incredible, the saxophonist made everything feel even more lively and unique and Josh’s DJing later into the evening was spot on. The energy they brought to the night was contagious. They had everyone of all ages on the dance floor. We couldn't recommend them enough for anyone looking to make their wedding (or any event) unforgettable!"

Imogen! These photos are sooo good. We're so glad you booked us! We loved that you cut the cake with your family sword (such a nice touch) and all your guests were on such good form. We LOVE the disco helmets, thinking of adding it to our outfits haha. It was so nice that your family friends booked us too and that we got to see you guys again in December! "We hired Guty and Simone for our wedding in Tuscany . From beginning to end, they were incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. They responded promptly to all our inquiries and demonstrated great enthusiasm throughout the event. Their pricing was very reasonable, and they tailored their services perfectly to fit our wedding. During dinner, they played our curated playlist and later delivered an outstanding live show and DJ set. Their song selection was ideal for our celebration, and we even got to choose our favorites. Their energy was infectious, and everyone enjoyed themselves immensely. They threw in some delightful surprises during the DJ set that the crowd loved, even matching the music to an unexpected strip dance from one of the guests! They kept the music going until well after 2 AM, ensuring no one left the dance floor. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone! "I might not be the most objective person to talk about my wedding day, but our guests said it was the best cocktail hour they had ever been to, and that was thanks to the band (Adrian Black 4-piece) that Supermusica booked for us. The atmosphere they created was incredible from the very first minute.
