Review Centre: Dance Bands

"I’d just like to say a massive thank you to Dave, Mike and Gerry who form The Berking Mad Band. This is the third event that we have booked them for and once again it was a massive success. They are always reliable and turn up on time. They set up the equipment with no fuss and are very adaptable to any type of event whether it be a Burns Night, a Ceilidh, a Wedding or a Birthday Party. Dave is incredibly patient at giving instructions to those who are novice dancers and even goes out onto the dance floor to help people with the dance steps. They cater for all abilities, young and old! Dave encourages people to get up to dance without being too intrusive and has a good sense of humour which makes people laugh and enjoy the night. Everyone who has been to our events where The Berking Mad Band have played have thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have always been very positive about this band. "Raphael and the Blue Moon Jazz Trio were the perfect accompaniment to our wedding in Florence. Not only did they learn one of my favorite songs, but also suggested another that made the ceremony superb! The music they played during dinner created an engaging atmosphere ripe with celebration, champagne, and laughter! Many of our guest complimented their performances. Raphael communicated with me promptly by email and made an effort to reach out in the days before the wedding to confirm all the details. He was very flexible and amiable. The price point is a great value for their level of expertise and they are a really lovely group to work with. I would highly recommend their services. "

"10/09/2008 If you're looking for a romantic, yet fun and friendly Italian restaurant, then Il Forno is the place to go. This place gets very busy, especially on the weekends, so be prepared to wait. I'm not really big on ordering pasta from a restaurant, but I decided to go with that here. It was very garlicky and flavorful, but honestly, I am never really blown away by any pasta, since I can make some pretty good pasta at home. Apparently, this place is famous for their wood-fired pizza, and I really wish I would have tried that. I'd definitely like to go back someday to try it. While I was here, there was a guy walking around playing the accordion. This definitely added to the romantic and authentic atmosphere. I don't know why, but I always feel awkward around accordion guys--maybe it's some inner childhood phobia. I think I would be safe now though, since I heard they now have a harp player. If you're Celiac, you can request gluten-free pasta. Also, I think this is a place you might want to get dressed up a little for--it's kind of fancy. "

"Just a quick message to say that I thought you were amazing on Saturday! You were everything that I could have hoped for and far exceeded my expectations, you really were excellent and I have had loads of texts’ off friends and family saying how much they enjoyed you and where did I find you! In all the weddings I have ever been to I have never seen a dance floor so full from start to finish and the song choices you made to play were spot on (sorry also for nagging for Sex on Fire!) but the wait was well worth it, I think you definitely kept the best until last!!! I know a few people took your details for future functions that they have!! I think you absolutely made the day for us and I could not recommend you highly enough!! I’ll keep a look out on your website for any future showcases that you do as I will make a huge effort to come and see you play again! Thanks once again for making our wedding day perfect!!"

"I had the absolute pleasure of having the band "American Tradition" perform at my husband's 50th surprise party, and I must say, they exceeded all expectations and left an indelible mark on our special day. With their incredible performance, they managed to captivate all 85 of our guests, leaving everyone thoroughly entertained and wanting more. They were absolutely incredible, we booked them really last minute but they were so quick and easy to work with, they are so talented and without a doubt were the best part about our wedding. Every single guest couldn’t believe how great they were, I will book them for any event I can in future!"

Honestly, we had SUCH a good time. When you looked at our repertoire and said we love it all, we knew we were in for a good time. So glad you requested Blind Faith - it went down so well! "We hired Point Five to play at our first ever NYE Ceilidh and it went down an absolute treat ! We sold out and almost everyone was up dancing which was completely unexpected ! The music was great, the caller was great and it was an all round great night and I’m so glad we chose Point Five as our band for it. I would 100% recommend Point Five if you’re ever in need of a Ceilidh Band!"

"We had the privilege of them playing at my 30/30 Birthday party! I love music and I'm very particular about it. Lifetime Rocker are outstanding performers!! The energy of the group is uplifting and very entertaining. They have an endless playlist which keeps the dance floor full! Lifetime Rocker are extremely professional. They arrived at our agreed upon time to set up and make sure everything was just spot on! My birthday celebration was in October 2015, and to this day, I still receive complements from our guests about how outstanding the band was! If you're looking for a group to entertain you with great music and professionalism, Lifetime Rocker is the group of wonderful guys you want to have at your event!!"
