Review Centre: Wedding Musicians

"I hired Matthew for my 50th birthday party and am so pleased that I did - he was exactly what I was looking for! I selected him on the basis of the quality that I saw on the website, and felt that he was even better in person. Being somewhat fussy, I was apprehensive about finding someone who could meet my needs, but Matthew suggested that we had a meeting before my event and we chatted through my ideas and preferences - as well as the things that I did not want! I came away feeling that he understood me and that we had connected, which was incredibly reassuring, and I was not let down on the night. Matthew is an incredibly talented singer and guitarist - recreating songs in a way that not only reflects the original, but often putting his own twist onto them in a way that keeps them fresh and interesting. His use of the loop pedal was particularly impressive! It was of note that so many of my guests commented on how good he was - they had a great time and really got into the swing of things as he gradually turned up the tempo and got everyone dancing. In doing so, he took requests, interacted with the crowd, showed a good sense of humour and came across as a fun, friendly and approachable guy. He played a wide range of songs, all of which reflected our discussion beforehand, with a great balance between those you might expect at a party and some 'surprises' that may be less common but worked equally well - if not better! I would definitely hire Matthew again, and would recommend him to pretty much anyone: he has a list of nearly 500 songs to choose from, and has a strict policy of not having a 'usual' setlist - instead preferring to engage in a discussion of what you'd like, so would be able to cater for all tastes - even mine! "Lorenzo was amazing! We’d never met in person before & he was so helpful messaging in the lead up to when we arrived in Italy. He was really great providing mics & speakers for other parts of the day & even stayed on later than originally planned as we were having too much fun! He travelled to Corato for this & his rate is very reasonable. "

"Hi Dan, we are writing this as we drive to our mini-moon. Ronnie and I are on such a high from our wedding yesterday. We are talking through all the wonderful things that were part of our special day and without a doubt you are up there with the best bits!! You absolutely nailed it! From the minute we arrived at the venue and saw you in the garden with your sax we knew you were going to be on point! The sun was shining, our guests were eating canapés and drinking champers whilst being entertained with your chilled Ibiza playlist. It was perfect!! Throughout the meal you got the tone exactly right and then the evening... Well how do I put it into words - absolutely smashed it!! Guests all night were dancing on the dance floor and your mixing was flawless! You covered our every request and there was literally something for everyone. "Sax gave a good performance in our wedding, me and my wife both enjoyed a lot, especially when he played "Nothing's gonna change my love for you", our favorite song, we just danced together. It was really touching. I really recommend Paulo for any event!"

"Anthems Band played at my Husband’s 40th last month. They energised the whole crowd, and their song choices spanned every music era you could want. Every song was a huge hit song which of course everybody knew and sang along to, so everyone loved them. Totally festive vibe - thanks lads, much appreciated!"

"The band of our heart! I was afraid my wedding didn't have the right entertainment, I heard many bands, watched dozens and dozens of videos, scrutinized endless playlists and I wasn't involved! That was until we ran into OverFunk.. Pure magic! The understanding was immediate .. they are professional, fun and creative. At the wedding, adults, children and stones danced! They have been able to involve everyone .. even the owners of the location have come to compliment us on the choice and I know they will want to continue collaborating with them! Thank you I would choose you again a thousand times!"

"Our Senior Home residents cannot stop talking and reminiscing about the fun they had with this steelpan player! His singing, playing and choices of songs brought back precious memories for them and their families. He is a very skilled player and was very interactive with everyone especially when we made a conga-line in our recreation area. We are looking forward to having him play for several of our upcoming events this year. A great addition to any celebration for sure, a must repeat entertainer for sure :-)"

"I couldn’t recommend Vicki enough. Due to a last minute change I had 7 days to arrange another saxophonist for my wedding drinks reception. Vicki swiftly came to the rescue with a ‘cocktails and canapés’ drinks reception playlist that was absolutely perfect. "Saxperience played at our wedding and it was a great addition to the party. He plays along with almost any song and he got all of our guests onto the dancefloor! He was a very nice person to speak to beforehand and he even contacted the dj to make sure everything was clear. Really happy and a highly recommended"

Special tribute to your lead vocalist as they were just amazing, but also to the whole band for a just exceptional performance.
