"Since 2011, the band has a new focus. First, it is commissioning the legendary Bill Dobbins, to write sample arrangements from his famous “Evolution of Jazz Piano”, a series of movements based on the tune “All of Me”. Secondly, is breaking in it’s new vocalist, 19 year old sensation, Lindsey Holland. The band currently has over 60 arrangements for her to sing, including selections from Nancy Wilson’s disc with Cannonball Adderley. Furthermore, we have a Christmas Set now for her to sing, as well as many straight ahead jazz standards. The hope is for this group to record both of these projects sometime in the future."

"We had a fantastic night when Anna sang at our club. Fabulous singer, entertainer and all rounder. I have also gone to her local gigs and she never fails to impress. Brilliant, absolutely Brilliant. If you want a night to remember she is the girl for you. "

"Saxophones, a rhythm section and vocals, swinging like crazy – that’s the aptly named FIVE STAR SWING ! As saxophone section in any band, they would take some beating. Beautiful tones and well-rehearsed by their leader, Chris Smith (Jnr), who has the singular talent of playing the trumpet with his right hand and the piano with his left at one and the same time ! He also happens to be a very experienced music writer having learnt his trade with the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and Glenn Miller’s Brother, Herb. Add to the fact that he can also well handle a vocal, as can his wife, lead alto Simone Smith and tenor man Stephen Davies, who’s clarinet playing on “Sing, Sing, Sing” was superb – and it will give you some idea of the breadth of talent in this line-up. This is a band crying out to be danced to and it wasn’t long before the jivers took to the dance floor. Five Star Swing –a “must” for every dance club in the country."

"We thoroughly enjoyed Vanessas performance at my parents 60th wedding anniversary. She performed a mix of swing, and more modern type songs, as requested. We were very happy with hoe the evening went, She catered for al ages, the was some thing for every one."

"I hired this band for my birthday. They were on time, dressed formally (as requested), and they brought their own equipment. Indeed, their repertoire varies from funky to jazzy but they played some pop arrangements as well."

"The Beauty Shop Dolls were absolutely stunning! Not only are they beautiful, but their voices were also amazing. From the very beginning, they were very professional, detail-oriented, and accommodating. Their voices carried so well in our venue and many mentioned their voices were angelic! "Susanne and Mike performed at our distillery several times this season (we are a new business and only discovered them recently). We have to say without any reservations that they are very good. They create a nice vibe, help everyone chill, relax and have a good time. They are super engaging, fun, can make our customers dance and clap and at the same time somewhat romantic. Great balance! "We had Leon at our wedding performing as guests were arriving, when Aimee walked down the aisle and a set at the reception. Leon was fantastic! We could not be happier with his professionalism, talent and general persona. Our guests have been raving about him since and we want to thank him so much for adding to our special day. "Totally recommend Hetty and her band. I wanted a Post Modern Jukebox feel to my party; she and her band brought that and more. They arrived early, looked the part from the word go, were 100% professional and were fabulous musicians. Huge repertoire of songs. Would recommend to anyone and would definitely book them again. "We had a fabulous time at our sons party with Santa Sax, the kids loved dancing to the songs and enjoyed the Sax. The added extra of a meet Santa with presents too made it even more exciting for the kids! Fantastic, would highly recommend! Thank you!"
